Apparently one MMORPG players has decided he has had enough with all the gold selling spam he has gotten in game. He has had a lawyer file a class action lawsuit against the company IGE.

For those that do not know IGE is the largest MMORPG Currency Selling site out there. They are based in china and do millions of dollars of revenue each year.

The lawsuit claims that they are destroying the paid for virtual world that gaming subscribers have paid for. More than likely this case will not go very far as its an out of country company and they can go under the free speech act. The game that this pertains to is called second life. A game much like the sims but based in an MMORPG world.

However the judge did dimiss the dissmissal asked fro by IGE so this is more than likely going to court.

For a recent interview with the attorney taking the suit against IGE check here.

IGE needs a good smack on the wrist. Several of the newer sites being advertised are under the network of IGE. They just use multiple sites to make "Competition" or to get around making the parent look bad with huge spamming issues.

O come on you know nothing will come from this. Its in china and to bring this to court will cost that guy at least 50k and unless he is filthy rich not much will happen.
