For those who do not know what WOWGlider is a program that lets you automate hunting in WOW. Blizzard a few months ago set up a lawsuit hoping to stop WOWGlider but it was to no avail. Well as of Tuesday Blizzard released a statement saying they have done a Very Large banning of accounts breaking its EULA.

On the WOWGlider forums it turns out that nearly 70% of the community was banned, causing many players to give WOW up for good. This can be seen as a big strike from Blizzard in its attempt to stop all Unattended Macroing

Not addicted recently did an interview with one of the banned players as well if you would like to read it.

For anyone hardcore with the game, this is a 2 month setback tops. Blizzard isn't just "protecting" its community, it's making more money with people rebuying game copies, and subscriptions.
