Need help! : EverQuest 2 General Discussions

I wanna play EQ2 again but last time I wanted to play I had to upgrade my RAM, but the graphics were really choppy and slow, so I uninstalled the game.

Im think the graphics were so bad because I was using a onboard graphics card (is that what is called..?) which apparently wont run EQ2 at all. Does anyone know a name of a graphics card that will run EQ2 well? I need one that will definately run EQ2, because im not going to be happy if I spend however much on a card and it still doesnt run well D:

I would just get a nividia card. Most of their stuff will play it. Spend about 150 to get one.

1. Have atleast 1GB of RAM, 2GB for Vista.

2. I would suggest a processor around 2.6GHz+
(EQ2 draws shadows from the CPU)

3. Buy a 8600 series nvidia card. You will atleast the 256mb model.


If you are up to it, try to get one of 8800GT 512mb cards. They are amazing and overclock great! But, alas.. I have two of these cards in my system SLi'd, and I still cannot play EQ2 at max graphics, but it does play very well one notch down from the best.
