Xcalibur : FFXI General Discussions

Well I have never seen anyone on Carbuncle with Excalibur. well if you do search and see how many RDM and PLD they have at 75 the results would be grossly enormous. I understand what the competitons is with That DROp. IF you know some one. and know what Dynamis you get the weapon from, I'll like to see it. Post server. no need to post anyone's name. I've seen RDM and PLD with full AF2 gears. Full (rare/ex) Gods gear drops. like genbu shield. and some others like full Crimson. But never seen Xcalibur.

The reason for this is that if a linkshell farms dynamis twice a week for half a year they get enough coins to equip ONE person with Excalibur.

Since more people than one want coins etc very few fully upgraded weapon relics can be found even serverwide.

In essence, fully upgraded relic weapons are impossible to get in any hardcore players timeframe.

My approximate $ value of one relic weapon is:
$4000 if IGE is not involved (accumulated subscription fee of all who helped get the item)
$8000 if IGE is involved (cost of buying enough gil to buy enoug coins=

Decide for yourself if you think it's reasonable.

The other option, which myself and a few others are offering, are to sponsor free dynamis runs. It might take longer, but you gain all the singles currency, the participants lot on all the AF, and 100 bill currency/material drops.

We have 3 sponsors that are split among 3 cities atm, so it's working out ok so far. We'll see what happens when the majority of the participants recieve thier AF, which I hope not to be anytime soon, as then the numbers may drop.
