.NET 3.5 won't make a difference since ACB is coded under 2.0. Besides, 3.5 already ships with Vista.
The crash on authentication is not ACB crashing, but VGExtremeService.exe crashing, which is referenced by ACB. That is why you never get the main window for the bot.
iirc, the thread about getting vgextreme to work on vista is the old vgextreme, the one that downloads when you use UpdateVGExtreme.exe. VGExtremeService.exe (the 2.0 version) and the required files have only been posted on this thread, nowhere else. Getting the old service to run on Vista is not the same as running the new. Problem is, I didn't write the service and cannot troubleshoot why it has such a hard time with Vista.
Unless someone is running this with Vista successfully who can help you get it going with some workaround, there really isn't much I can do. Perhaps if you have an old XP key you can find a torrent for the same version of XP and set up a dual boot...
