I was working on a program thst lets your XU scripts email you screenshots when you get tells, gm or otherwise. It then lets you send (one line at a time) commands back to the computer running XU. For an update--it works, with ffxi, but admittidly not well. When WoW came out I started playing it, and shortly after XU with wow broke, so no script or program development by me til this gets fixed. Plus um I'm not making any mony off what I do here, so I don't even feel the slightest tingle of an obligation to release the program above-(unfixed would be a tell nightmare). If the XU's scripting host is not working that's fine. I'd really like to use it, however I understand that programming projects can take take much longer than expected to complete. I personally think that the XU team should not lure new customers into a subscription right now by implying that the scripthost (current released version) works with WoW right now.

I can give some hints about the release of the now declassified.. "Exhume" engine. Or should I say XUM or for those that like technical details, the Enhanced XUnleashed Human Emulator.

I received an advance beta of it a couple of weeks ago. It is your standard script engine that supports VBScript, JScript, PerlScript, PythonScript, etc. It has alot of the same functionality of the original XU one that was embedded in the XU client but alot of the interfaces have changed to make sure that they are compatible with lame !@#$%^* languages like JScript (poke at asl18fs). The most dominant features are the embedded debugger and the fact that it is a out of game script engine. So it doesnt hook the games at all in any way. Now if you run a script that creates a hook that is a different story. But most games you can do simple memory reads and the game will never know it is even running. Hence the term "Human Emulator".

Now the dox are still being developed and from what I undersand they will come on a weekly basis updates after the release. However, there is a feature in the editor that will let you see all available functions and you can also get a feel for functionality from some demo scripts.

A very neat feature is the ability to create a compiled .exe from your script. So you dont have to release your sources. However, there is a feature that will be done after release (because I want it in there) to be able to encrypt some of the script files so others can take the encrypted files (think of a library) and use it in their scripts. Ie things like my FFXIService or EQ2Service, etc. For now since that wont be done at release, I'll have to modify my dll's to work with the new script engine.

Ie so you can do things like LoadLibrary(FFXIService.dll) and then call library.GetPlayerName etc.

Which reminds me of some other neat features. You can do full dll or com loads and create your own complied dll's that work directly with the script engine. Ie if you need something in the kernal32 dll you can call loadlibrary(kernal32) and then create an alias for OpenFile and then call that function directly. It is a rather neat feature, but not for the faint of heart. There are only a few people on the forums that I have seen that will be up to that detailed level of scripting.

Back to one of the neat features is a debugger. You can load up your script, and run it in the debugger and be able to set break points, view parameters while debugging, etc. This is great for those logic errors that are soo hard to find using the current XU Scripting engine.

Overall, I really like the new XUM engine. From what I understand they are going to embed the new XUM engine into the current XU client for the XU 4.0 release. However, the out of game XUM engine will always be available for those that prefer the debugging capabilities and dont mind running their games windowed.

Thanks Wyv....I think we were all waiting for someone who actually know how to program to give us an explination and idea of of what the features might be. Btw, are the devs adding in a working script for WoW users at launch or is the community going to have to make the first scripts? I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this, but the tault_admin has been implying that there will be a WoW botting script availiable immidatly when 4.0 is released.

Im not sure if its just me, but my parents get pissed why I buy stuff online, I bought a subscription, TU said there were bots, there were no bots.. So ive been waiting for this one. They said it was done 2 weeks ago, and its not done yet. They post screenshots, but not screenshots of the real program or what it does to any games... Just a whole bunch of programming programs.


PS: If you think this is flaming, I wont be upset if you delete this post. I just wanted to get my point out. Thank you, and sorry for saying this I guess...

the actual product is done but the security is not. what would you rather have? a program that works, but gets you banned in 5 minutes or a program that works and wont get you banned? i suggest you learn about patients and wait for it.

actually by security they mean the security of the program from the "Login directly to your xu account" security so that it cant be sold elsewhere, not the detectability security you are thinking.....

you have paid for a service....it's like paying the plumber in advance and since he already has his money he'll just show up whenever he feels like it. It's no skin off his back.

I believe that if you subscribed to this site and gave them your money under the ussumption that this works with WoW, you deserve what you paid for. There is nothing up front on this site that tells ppl signing up XU is broken.

Actually if you really wanted to persue this legally I'm sure that you could *very* easily prove that you had no idea this program does not work with WoW when you paid for XU. Is it worth your 20 bucks?-definatly not by yourself.

Nursing school has a great program on understanding patients I hear.



If they actually have a program coming out that is undetectable by the game companies then I'll be amazed. That's a major accomplishment.
