Best Party? : FFXI General Discussions

My PT for a while was:
DRG/SAM
SAM/WAR
PLD/WAR
BLM/WHM
BLM/WHM
RDM/BLM

This worked out great before the patch where they nerfed TP. Basically the DRG and SAM set up as many SCs as possible per chain so that the 2 BLMs could nuke the monster to deaths within 1-2 minutes. This is granted we have RDM for refresh and Dark Staves to lessen downtime. We acquired Chain 5s every single time, it became a normal trait of PT.

- BRD / WHM (Tarutaru)

you have no idea of the kind of damage we were doing lol~~ omg
the rng would hit sidewinder for 6k dmg, then the THF would do SATA dancing blade and hit for another 1.5-2k damage and i would burst with Blizzaga II for another 800 dmg and we would take the orcs out int he bcnm like WOAH!!!! lol~~ i think we could have done a light sc.... not sure

The best PT i have been in was in East Alteap


War/Nin Tank Useing Nin Tools much more effective can do damage unlike Pld
Brd/Whm Down Time help heal
Mnk/Sam DD
Whm/Blm Heal Nuke
Rng/Nin DD
Drk/War DD

Monks are some of the best DD on the game after level 35 so don't forget about them i love haveing them in my PT a level 45 monk / 22sam has over 1000HP that can't be all bad give monks a shot they have become a lost job.

BLM/WHM
DRK/WARorTHF
RNG/NINorTHF
PLD/WAR
SAM/WAR

the best pt i ever had was BLM BLM BLM BLM BLM SMN, smn buffed us, pulled, 1 blm elemental seal +sleep II, then all 5 blm freeze, IT++ mob dead, was getting 300+ exp, highest we got was 343 on chain 2, we never stopped cos we all had darkstaffs, got 7k-8k exp an hour, it was so awesome lol

Recently i was in a party in Valkurm, got invited, found out we had a lvl 60+ blm Taru pling us. I Was there as my ranger. We got up to chain 6 gettin 300xp + per battle. Then the pl left and the party fell apart >.<. Got invited to another pt, and we started cranking out 5-6k xp an hour. The party setup was as follows:

RNG/SAM (me)
RNG/WAR
BLM/WHM
BLM/WHM
WHM/BLM
BRD/WHM

I think this is the best pt setup, with incredible Damage dealing qualities. As well as whm for healing and the brd for very handy songs.

The backup provoker should a melee class as well.I really havent found a class that I dont like in the wild card spot. It really depends on your play style. So post you thoughts, suggestions, and falmes.

In this pty when the Paladin can keep hate. Its BAM 10k to 12k xp per hour

Drools God I Love these Ptys.

Mob comes BOOOOOOoMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM you see the Mob light up in a Blaze of Glory brings a tear to your eye.

The one I gave is the strongest thoug since its very safe for everyone if the Pld can keep the hate.

4 Rng, Pld and Whi work too
2 Rng, Bl, Pld, and either Whi, Red, Brd, Smn

I dont recommed not having a tank and some kind of healer in case of a link or an emergency.

12 VS 1 mob makes for good odds

Only seen them once in Ifrit. Needles to say when I saw 12 on one not to mention the spam of the battle it caught my attention LOL.

PLD/WAR-Tank
DRK/WAR-DD
RNG/THF-Puller
WHM/BLM-Main Healer
SMN/WHM-Backup Healer
Anything Else Can Go Here

and if its static your in luck.

The best party I was in logged steady 7k per hour for about 3 hours of xp session. Level was around 55 and at Boyada Tree killing crabs, I think.

Party configuration was
Rng/Nin
Rng/Nin
Nin/War
Rdm/whm
Rdm/blm
Bard/whm

Ninja and Bard were the pullers and was almost non stop killing for 3 hours. I ended up xping alot with these JPs in later days and we usually clock about 6k per hour with this party config.
