A Mesmer is meant specifically to counter casters, and has too many skills not to give a monk hell.

A Necro has a lot of skills that debuff armor and any protection.

Conclusion: a Me/N or N/Me is perfect to take down both classes.

Reminder: Guild Wars one of those games that is very well BALANCED.
