Sometimes that can seem liek they abusing power lol... I want to be a GM like that and be able to use whatever the hell I want, save people from bad people, and do all kind of crap... That'd be awsome...

I saw a GM once, he was leveling with a PT of 40's in Crawler's Nest. left immidiately though, because I was using a windower to play. Not for hacks, but because I literally CAN"T play with out it lol. I use my father's computer to play, but he has all his anti-spyware crap on it. And Even when its disabled, it still pops up every 5 minutes on the dot. Damn microsoft said its an unfixable bug. So, the only way I can play FFXI for more than 5 minutes at a time is with a windower....

Noone can tell if you're using windower. I thought this was pretty much known now.

GM's don't exp either. They aren't allowed to play the game at work, or to use their GM character to help their personal characters.

I can't tell if he was inthe PT or not, but he was fighting the mobs with the PT that was there. And I did log because I thought windowers could be scanned...And I really don't want to risk getting banned...I'm seriously not lieing about this....Man...I wish I took a SS of it...

Lying.... Windower can't be 'scanned' and GM'd don't kill anything along side people playing. Maybe you edited your .dat files and didn't change them back and this guy was wearing the stuff you happened to have changed all of your .dats to... However both are highly unlikely, and I am not , Lying.

Atti posted it is possibe to tell if windower is loaded.

I never said it WAS or was NOT detectable. I shutdown because I wasn't sure if I would be detected or not. And I never changed the .dats because I don't want to get in trouble for that either...

I have 2 monitors, and i´d like t find out how you play FFXI in "windowed mode" so you can have FFXI on 1 screen and firefox with tault on the other as an example

lol...if atti said it can be detected he is right, but that's not what you should have asked.

It's dead easy to have ffxi report to the server if it isn't the active window or whatever, but the key point here is that they don't. Being able to do something is very different to actually doing it.
