Only time a mob will aggro you by the pet if its within the aggro range.
(Ex. If you attack a mob and it didnt die and the gobling BST didnt see it being attacked, it wont be like "WTF!? MY PRRIIcious!" and run after you too.)
It should be easy to pull a pet to where you want with out being aggroed by the BST too. Sometimes its better to be safe then to have a Goblin BST attached to you Rarabtail!

Also you may want to sub rdm for phalynx and stoneskin along with slightly more INT. This will give you a little less MP but might be safer.

You can o this there, I know of other XP spots like Pso'Xja.

Also if you go blm/nin 58 you can go to Bibiki Bay and kill Rabits, however this is done differently as one nuke wont kill them.

and then again you can go 60blm/whm up till 65-66
the tactic is different as they have more HP, till about 62 I would suggest tier3 > sleep> strongest -aga spell

Also the only time you get agro is when the master of the pet is looking at his pet or your in his agro range.
