you could not get banned for this, because it's the fault of the Gm right?

they'll ban you.. trying to scam a gm is a def no-no they'll check their logs and see if you actually looted one.. and if its not there... you're banned.

No, if you say the right things you wont be banned and will probably get the item. If they catch you you could say "I was drunk sorry, it must have been on my other account!".

This shouldnt get you banned, maybe told off. However, there are extensive logs of everything that happens in game, so there is no chance of you actually getting the item.

Actually, even with a log you may be able to restore a few things cause i use to play everquest and my corpse rotted with all my lvl 60 gear epic and all, i simply asked a GM if he could restore my gear for me and he said can you get me a copy of your log or whatever and i said i don't have one so he said gimme a second poped back up gave me my epic and most of my gear. i also got a few items off him that i didn't really have =)

Is bannable if u keep trying to push it but most likely after he/she says no to you you may get suspended for 72 hrs or maybe a simple warning

Why? Isn't it restoring the item?

I've heard you can do it, the question is is it bannable or not?

Dont go off topic please

I once did a quest in DM with my ex-level 60 druid, and I had to open this chest, and I agroed alot of mobs so I used "Dash" ("Sprint" in catform) to be able to get to the chest and open it before the mobs starts to hit me, so I open it, with the luck by my side. One of the mobs ran up to me while I was still opening the chest, but he missed his hit, I opened the chest.. and BAM! I chose the wrong quest reward because of stress, so I PM:ed a GM about it, and amazingly, they gave me the item I wanted and took the item I've chosen by misstake.

But you wont get anything just by PM:ing, since they can check your item looting / loss in their database, he will know your lying, which can result in ban, probably.

Blizzard doesn't punish for fasle tickets, only for exploiting. No worries, but you wouldn't get the item regardless.
