I thought the episode was....ok. It was too much of a pat on the back for Blizzard when it could have been a much funnier episode if Blizzard had nothing to do with it at all, and the Southpark team could be free to make fun of WoW like they probably wanted too.

The whole ingame "machinema" scenes seemed almost completely scripted by some exec at Blizzard rather than Matt or Trey. It played out kinda awkward and the whole time you can't help but notice how the ingame scenes are simply excuses to get the Southpark kids to mention WoW places and things FIRST, and a comedy bit LAST.

I was really hoping for the usual Southpark humor, where they would totally rip on WoW more than simply teaming up in some 30 min WoW commercial.

Definitely not. It really wasn't a Southpark episode.

There are so many funny, and clever SP episodes out there. People who say this is the best, probably just say that because they are hardcore WoW fans and just got hardons that their "whole world" was talked about in an episode.

Whereas those who are true fans of comedy like Southpark and its roots like Monty Python etc, see this for what it really was, a filler episode.

Colbert report?

Yea, it was a joke on the Colbert Report. He claimed it was his new game coming out. This was a few nights ago, before this recent SP episode.

Was it better than the SP episode? Honestly I only saw the end of the SP WoW episode. Came in somewhere around the sword and cartmans diarreah.
