Wow you certainly got upset over a joke . Why would you make a post about ignorance and put in a lame thing about pubic hairs and keeping my mouth shut? I think the programming since 8 years old is pretty obvious, get a sense of humor and calm yourself down it's only text, it's only text... Also like it was mentioned before this sort of thing happens alot, so dont get your panties in a twist about it.

i think programming since 8 years old is a llittle far fetched but it really all depends on what that persons definition of programming is.

Nah, I am still here. And about the anger bit.. I was simply giving the same respect I recieved. Not angry at all. I enjoy programming and this has been fun.

Offsets.. I am not going there. I do not want to deal with them nor do I want to find them after every update. Need a tele, get your whm higher.

The bot I have been coding does not deal with offsets at all. Just curious... how can you get /t from the game? Detect enemys.. their str? Just about all information a player can get.. so can the bot without worry of offsets. I am curious to hear your answer? Is there ANY other way?

And yes. programming since 8ish. For those of you that don't know, c64 didnt come with windows. I had no clude what windows was. You either loaded your rather large floppy and played or you learned to code. Instead of a game I got a book. Peace \/

P.S. Want a tutorial? You cannot tele to new location and such without offsets. Even then you stand a chance at being banned. There is one thing and one way to get information from the game. A way that does not change with updates. Virtually anything you can do as a player.. your bot can do also.

woah, a c64? this c64 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commodore_64 ? what year did you get it?

so, are you packet sniffing, or code injecting? im guessing code injecting (actually hooking is the correct term to use) since ffxi antibot system is CRAP, and it would just be much easier and just as safe. alas, if you are packet sniffing, how long did it take you to break the encryption? i forgot to ask, what language are you using? c++? and what IDE are you using?

Started playing with vb6, not enough power.. tried c++ for satisfaction.

heh, yeah ive never played with one of those, im kind of young. i bought my first computer 2.75 (approximately) years ago, and i only started programming 1.5 years ago in mid-late 8th grade, but i didnt start hitting it hard until several months ago (5 or 6 maybe). those numbers are probably off a little bit. im in 10th grade now btw.

and oddly one of the nicest paint programs , cant beat the fun mirror gives. and finally i think its fair to say you were atleast a little upset.

will just sit there and read the chat logs for a teleport shout and an amount of gil or higher for certain teleports and then it will invite the person and will only accept a certain set amount of gil or higher then teleport. will then teleport and warp back to the HP and heal waiting for a shout

I'll send a link when this one ^^ is done. I love the idea. No telling how much gil you could generate in a day with this. The hardest part is getting the keywords in the string variations right. Could always force them to use translator so it narrows down the combinations. Even if it didnt catch but 3/5 that would still be a good gil maker.

What you have up there is beautifully vague, and a few things seem really out of place... "smart attack mode"? of course a farming bot needs to be able to fight. I call !@#$%^&*, because you say you can "detect enem[ies] and their strength" even though "strength" is a server-side value that is not sent to the client at any point unless you send the /check command.

As for making your own AI system, I wouldn't recommend it. Instead, use a free and/or open source chat bot.

But of course, prove me wrong somehow and you get a prize.

well u c, we had great ppl like a t t i and chris that when i first saw their post, they were like

"hey here's my app, try it out, here's the link"

and bam their apps just work. thats the kind of ppl i respect and im sure many others too.

compare to u... i dunno... i only seeing u getting all upset and talk back and not actually showing us ur stuff. and claiming u show it "secretly to the mods/admins" im sorry thats not... very appealing really.
