SWG Guide: POWER LEVELING AFK=you+pet from 1-90 : Star Wars Galaxies Nerfed Info

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I am coming back to the game after not playing for a good 4 years or more. So most of the game mechanics have changed since then.

Does this still work? I thought they nerfed pets giving xp to their owners. I haven't tried this exactly, but I have a level 90 commando that I tried something similar to this with using a level 60 medic while taking down CL90 mobs. I never got any xp at all with the medic. He definitely doesn't get any xp while grouped if the commando kills stuff. Is there something I am missing? Does this only work if the character you are powerleveling is not grouped at all? If so, how does this still work if pets no longer transfer any xp to their owners?

I keep coming back to find that my 90 medic and my low lvl medic are both dead. What am I doing wrong and what can I do to make this work better

I just relized that the reason im dying is bc im getting adds from a nest spawn right next to the camp, Any suggestions for good ways to deal with this.

Level 79 Feral Wookiees at the bottom of one of the Rryatt Trail instances.

You'll probably need at least one medic with a good heal though, even when you've got the spawn synched so they don't all respawn at the same time.

Also, it's a good idea to run a macro

/ui action petToolbarSlot1;
/pause xx;
/macro xxxxxx;

that way if your pet runs off after a targetted wookiee it will come back to you and not lie dead for hours on end with you getting no XP.

actually another good spot is in theed at the end of the water fall after you come out of star port..... were gungans are theyre level 84 and theres usually a lot of ppl there so you just need to edit your macro to afkpet and target the tank and go watch tv or whatever if you need a wp. let me know and when i get home ill post the wp and the macro used.. i went from lvl 24-35 using that and my pet is lvl 9 now...

A good spot is the dantari village on dant. On bloodfin there are also alot of people so you can start at level 1 pet. Not sure about other servers though

I've had to tweak the macros on my characters and at times they end up dead, but it's by far easier this way than doing the SOE questing grind. The OP clearly emphasized that the more DPS characters you can bring there the faster and safer it will be.

What I'm trying to say is that it's not nerfed.
