A quick update...

The service still has not been updated to prevent the crash upon start. Until that has been done, there is not much point in updating the offsets in the bot.

I just wanted everyone to know I'm still watching the forum.

update: VGExtreme has been updated and now works. Only offsets need the usual adjustment.

I thought I would check back after a few months with my last post and its nice to see that you too are affected with the same issue I was having. Not in the mean way it sounds but more of a "Yay its not me going crazy".

Hoping it gets fixed soon, wanting to get myself a pristine toxx ammo case made up and there is no way Im sitting there clicking that many attempts hoping I dont get carpul tunnel before I get a pristine

loaded it up and all is good. As a side note, its been a while sonce VG patched, and I suspect that a major one is around the corner, so if at all possible, keep an eye out if you dont mind.

So is this working as of today? Just subbed for week to try it out and i get to login screen and I press authenticate and i get a popup saying
AdvancedCraftingBot has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry ......

Running windows xp sp3 vanguard is running.

Here are steps i did things in downloaded and extracted vgextreme 2 from link here and 2.1 also the newest ver of bot listed here. Ran the advancdedcrafting bot 2 exe after extracting the files to same folder ie overwriting older ones

I just tested it and it's working fine on xp sp3.

Try loading 2.1 vgextreme into a new folder (without 2.0 first... 2.1 is fully self-contained). Extract the latest AdvancedCraftingBot into the same folder and run with vg up. Don't mess with any of the old files and see what happens.

If it still crashes, try to provide a little more detail.

Not sure what else you need to know? I did what you said just used the 2.1 and also copied newest advancedcraftingbot.exe from dl on here to a folder. was on my d drive tried it on c drive as well same thing still happens.
The exact popup msg just says
AdvancedCraftingBot has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for any inconvenience. Virus scanner reports exhume as virus but not advancedcraftingbot. No exume is not running.
Also I tried running VGextremeservice.exe and i get following error maybe related?
A startup error occured.
Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID{bunch stuff in here that looks like a registry entry} failed due to the following error: 80040154

Also today net framework updated in windows before i used this at all with sp1 for net framework 3.5 if that matters

hmm, .net 3.5 shouldn't hurt anything, I have it on my machine using it for a different dev project. .net should be fully backward compatible, but make sure you have 2.0 installed as that's what vgextremeservice and acb are written on.

i'm pretty sure that whatever error you're getting while launching vgextreme by itself is related to the problem with acb, since acb references vge to utilize various exposed classes. methinks once you get vgextreme working by itself, the craft bot will work as well.

Hmm I read in a previous post in here from keylas that he had similar problem and that he fidex it using the updateVGExtreme file but there is no file named that in the current release of vgextreme and if thats whats needed then what can I do?

the only version on the download page is 2.1 there is no installer just a zip file you extract. Maybe its looking for something the installer or updater used to make and your not having the problem since you already have it installed and done before this?
Really want to get this working so i can decide if its worth getting year sub or not.

Ok I think i found how to get it working. There used to be a bat file to register the dll's right? Well its not there and none of them get reged. Not sure what other ones need to be reged with regsvr32 but these 2 def do to get rid of error in vgetremeservice and in AdvancedCraftingBot.exe you need to run regsvr on Exhumehelper.dll and also on VGEHelper.dll. Not sure about others yet but i did get rid of the error 80040154 in vgetreme and now it works and also now crafting bot loads. Have not set it up yet but at least got into it doing those to files.

Someone prob should update the howtos etc and prob add the bat file that used to be in them to reg dll's and such but I guess thats another topic I guess Also I had read that running exhume would reg its exhumehelper.dll but that didn't work either.

Btw is there newer verion of exhume or just the 0.9 ver listed on its page and does exhume now replace xunleashed altogether? I know these are prob best in there own topic in main area for them but new people might be helped if site was cleaned up of stuff no longer used needed etc. just my opinion. Some of the help and faq pages point to pages that are removed and such to. Oh well just trying to help on this so don't take it the wrong way and i know its nothing to do with this topic either so sorry to place it here.
