Small FAQ for new people.

Just to add what Buck said below, a lot of work has gone into this macro
I myself spent 5 weeks understanding it and working with it.

This is not a macro for the newbee, and if you are a newbee and want it to work read the code though its very well documented.
Read all the posts in the Forum, none of us have time to baby sit you.
But we have posted about the issues we have faced.
Read the change log to get more of a understanding of this macro,

Upallnight has put a hell of a lot of work in this and It does work 100%
If its not working for you, its most likely either
A) Your system
B) Lag on the server or your Internet connection
C) incorrect placements of bookmarks
D) incorrect settings you have entered.

Make sure you have the most up to date version, posted on page 5

Start somewhere easy first,
a .9 system with scordite and no rats, once this works for you move to
a lower area with rats.

Don't alter the view once the macro has started it will put the pixel detection off and your have to start again.

Make sure no icons are behind the eve widow, this messes the pixel checks with the CTD checking location

Don't move the window for the same reason

Don't try and help the macro along, it will do everything for you, wait for it to finish.

Do Let the macro start your client for you and make all your changes.

Bare in mind that it is designed for the 2nd mule toon not your main, have nothing else equipped than your mining lasers, your afterburner and cargo expanders. E.G equip no weapons

Don't use your PC for anything else at the same time, if you have speed issues disable everything else.

If you have XP check the extra display options are turned off as stated in the document.

Post any Questions you have here in the Forum But keep them to the point and state the facts, read the post on how to create a logfile and post this too. Don't mail me personally unless you want to piss me off.

Upallnite will fix bugs in the code when they are found, but please don't assume because it is not working for You that it is bugged.

You can get banned for Macroing, once you get it working for you don't spend 24/7 macroing the GM'S will notice and Ban you for that alone.
Don't complain to us if this happens to you. you have been warned you use at your own risk.

Well after cleaning cashe, lounching my the game, filling in nick and pass and clicking connect my scripts trying to do some operations while loading screen is active (bout 80% is done)... It hits show introduction (mistakely i suppose) and then dwo more hits a bit higher and then it loops from upper right part of the screen up to middle whe it hits twice:( What shall i change in the script to make it start -operations after connecting- twice later.

Book marking issue is easy to resolve.
When ADDING your base station edit name and add TWO spaces to beginning. When adding asteroid fields rename and add ONE space to beginning of name.
Thus
" station name"
" 1st asteroid field"

This allows ALL other BM's to float to end

The latest version has some great additions, wil try it tonite. FAQ seems to be required, seems word is spreading fast that Tault has a working macro for Eve Of course a few mods will be required after patch next week, something to do with Eula confirmation.
My earlier post about the crashing on my slow system is tracked down to asteroid AND base warp crashes. Game crashes but macro doesn't recognize, added 2 addition gosub>crash detects to pnp item select but macro still failed to recognize crash. Hopefully your latest has resolved that.

1) New problem Due to lag, The open Cargo Hold menu has on a few times not poped in time to click the open button. Have added a pixel detect to check for the black of the menu before clicking, so takes the lag into account. But I must be doing somthing wrong as it is not working, have added a wait>1 for the moment, but this does slow down the process.

i just installed the new version and after it logs in and pulls up people and places it goes to the options page and quits the game.. then it goes to relog into the game and keeps doing that over and over again. can you help me out here thanks

Can someone post a pic of there P&P please? I need to see what bookmarks i need to create just to use one belt and one station and what they need to be named.

Right, after 8 hours of messing I have it so it will start, warp to a field and mine but then it won't warp back to station and just sits in the belt.

BOOKMARKS EXPLAINED further down.
The Macro ask for your character name. DO NOT misspell this (Including capitals) or macro will continue asking for your name and you will get no further.
note: The macro code on 1st page of this topic IS NOT VALID. Read on....
please read this WHOLE topic. (all 15 pages)
1st time run DO NOT use default settings. Let it ask you ALL the questions.
Read the 1st part of macro code, it has important info.
If you think your computer is fast then think again. This macro requires LOTS of cpu power. So don't jump in and think computer speed 1 will work great. Setting 2 >sometimes< does ok on my 3.0ghz Nvidia 6600 setup. Try 2 first then 3 if it fails. Game lag is a uncontrolled variable that can cause the macro to work one hour but not the next.
Most current version of macro is on page 5. It is revised OFTEN.
Please check for new version before posting a problem.

1. Undock in system where you want to mine.
2. turn around so your looking at station you want to use.
3. Right click on station, one of the options is "bookmark location". Left click this. screen will pop up verifying.
4. Click the name window and add 2 spaces to beginning of name, ie: " station name"
click ok.
5. Right click on empty area of space.
6. Move mouse to "asteriods".
7. repeat bookmark location but only use ONE space. Repeat for each asteroid field

Actual name is not important, you just want the station and asteriod fields to be 1st in PnP. Station can actually be anywhere in that list as long as you tell the macro what slot to find it in. Be aware that the agents mission folder is slot 1.

Why the spaces in front of names?
If other bookmarks already exist the spaces allow the station and fields to stay at top when macro sorts PnP. Adding 2 spaces to station name insures station is 1st on list. Macro DOES ask what line station is on but I find it simpler to add 2 spaces.

This is Upallnites labor of love and he certainly is doing his best to make this macro work on ALL machines, but do not expect support beyond what little bit we can offer in the discussion topic elsewhere. Read the code, it is documented, not hard to figure out and after all it is mouse movements in the game. 99% of all problems will be timing issues. watch where it screws up and add a wait>2 at the problem area.

Alrighty. I set up my P&P and all as per requests. Now I'm having new problems.

The game logs in correctly, sets up my settings, chooses the character, logs in, sets up my P&P, then does something weird. It makes it transparent and just stops. Yes, I've checked to be sure my window is in the correct position 10 times. It wouldn't get this far otherwise.

Once I've gotten it to get past there, by doing nothing different except just letting it reboot over and over and over. It set up my overview (though not in the screenshot provided), then I think it went to approach the station (which was already 0m away, as per my superb bookmarking skills), which didn't do anything. It then went to activate the afterburner, even though the following is set...

Let>vMWD=NO
Let>vAfterBurner_ON=NO

Funky. Either way, it tried to activate my afterburner in slot 1, which was actually my scanner. I've since swapped out the slots so the afterburner is in the correct slot, but I can't get teh macro to go far enough to even use it. Anyway... enough rambling... check out the screenshot.
