I have a AMD system that I test on that that gets me in.

After the 4.0 release, I'll relook at the eq2 service, because admin already told me that I have a memory leak in there that he found. So it could be something very simple like a memory leak that is causing the AMD systems to crash.

The source for the GUI is in the eq2/eq2radar/source folder.
Maybe I'm missing something but this path does not exist. In fact, nowhere on my hard drive is there an object that contains the string "radar" in its name. Are you certain the source directory is being transferred in the download/install script? It may explain why no one has ever modded and uploaded the source.

When installing the radar, the only directory created is EQ2Unleashed under the Everquest2 directory and contains the following files:

Config.ini
EQ2.xml
EQ2_icon.bmp
EQ2News.txt
EQ2Service.xui
EQ2Unleashed.dll
EQ2Unleashed.xui

Aggro circles are broken. Its a jumble, they must have changed the flags somehow. Its kinda random now if they get the aggro circle or not. And almost all of the NPCs have aggro circles.

Also, wyvernx, can you find the flag for PVP sides? Theres gotta be a flag for freeport/quyenos sides. Would be handy in PVP!

Just noticed that aggro stuff has changed back somewhat. Maybe you already tinkered with it wyvernx? Anyways, mobs aggro circles are now OK. But now ALL players have aggro circles, regardless of Evil/Good side. Also, a player on radar is shown as a 'square', as intended, but when you target a Player, the square becomes a dot. Like the Player became an NPC. Hmm, hope you understand my gibberish!

And also, all the non-attackable 'white conned' NPC types in the city and outside also have aggro circles.

Any of this fixable?

beergeek, reinstall the EQ2Unleashed radar plugin.
I had already tried that before you suggested, but did it again, deleting the eq2unleashed folder under Plugins first. Still no source, filelist same as i posted before. Can you check on your system, with a clean install of xunleashed?

I'm checking on the sources...

Just deleting the folder wont work for reinstalling plugins if you are having problems with getting a plugin working. you have to remove it from the plugins tab by dragging it to the uninstall line.

Tried that, still no source folder.

Also, none of the folders in the path you list earlier, eq2/eq2radar/source, exist. The only path that is created installing the radar is Everquest2/EQ2Unleashed

EDIT: also did a complete clean install of the latest xul alpha client and installed the map, still no source folder. Are you certain it is even in the package?

Just wondering.... As a ranger I sneak a lot, but the agro circles always remain even tho the mob can't see me. I know there's a version of the agro flag that does show the invis/uninvis agro. If that feature was removed intentionally, would it be possible to add a flag/check box/.ini that could let us choose which agro flag we wanted to use?

Excellent work on the radar btw, thank you very much for keeping this updated!

kenbee,

Are you running an AMD system? If so, you need to download the amd temp fix file in the confirmed macros section and overwrite the eq2unleashed.dll in the plugin folder for the radar.

Also, don't attempt to use the load/save feature when you get the radar running, it will crash the game as well.

Would there be anyway of setting up a filter list, so I can insert mobs names (ie 'An orc pawn') and it wouldnt be shown on the radar?

That is something I wanted to tinker with when I was asking wyvernx for sources. He said the ui source files are automatically downloaded with the package, but I'll be damned if I can find them on my machine. I even tried completely removing xunleashed, deleting all pertinent directories and files and reinstalling... didn't work.
