Perhaps, all depends on your point of view.

I would not consider a simple bot "Hacking". The simple bots inteligently perform repeditive tasks to accoplish simple things like fishing, crafting, or other simple tasks in the game.

Well, I don't wanna ruin this all but I found a good website with bots galore (err kinda) and you only need a free membership (username, password, and emailaddress)...

The most RELIABLE and recommended way to do BCNM battles is with your TRUSTED FRIENDS and to AGREE on how you are splitting the treasure.
My favorate way is "Your Orb >> Your Drop" Where the person who is using their orb to activate the burning circle is set to Quarter Master for that battle. While some do not get good treasure, It is fair. The order of who gets what pool can be determined many ways... this can be done by either agreeing who gets the treasure pool first, second, third, and so on or by doing /random and using the order of the numbers.
However there are times where you are traveling as a group to help a friend get a particular item like Erase or Utsusemi : Ni. I feel the item should goto this friend if it drops and the rest of the treasure is split evenly to everyone; taking into consideration the value of the piece that went to the person whom you were helping.
There are many different circumstances that will determine what method of splitting the treasure will be best for you and your friends... you will have to evaluate why you are there - and determine what is right for you. BCNMing with strangers is asking to be robbed/cheated. So do that with care.
I have seen posts where a WHM got kicked after Erase dropped in his treasure pool and was kicked from the PT before he could get his treasure and told he would get his share of the gil when the scroll sold.

lots of good posts. I agree being lvl 75 does make money making a hell of alot easier,
that's a given. But for most noobs, making money lvl 30-50 can be alot easier than
you think, crafting sucks, blow all your money away and you end up making more
than 7 synths (7 ah spaces) and selling back to the guild is automatic loss in profit.
Gardening is a good source of money but only if you already have money. lvl 1 - 20
money is very UNAVAILABLE, you can do quests for scrolls and items that you may
or may not end up needing down the road, not to mention the money you would spend
to get fame (unless you're more patient than me and do tons of quests to build up
fame step by step) but as it's been pointed out, Checking AH Prices and doing
detailed research in your free time does help money making. Farming items
that mobs drop in your spare time can help get you the money you need to make
money. i suggest low-level stack up those crystals! drop the rabbit hides, insect wings,
lizard tails, sheep meat and concentrate on crystals! lvl 5-10 can make money
fast if they aim for EP, get 3 stacks of fire crystals thats 15k-20k, not much but enough
to start, check AH prices on drops such as lizard skins, beetle jaws, mushrooms
(sleep dance woozy) and whatever else you know that mobs drop and start farming!
lvl 30-50 can solo liz in valkurm, davoi, beetles in jugner, Carp land. mushrooms in
jugner, carp. land. i still use blm to AOE lizards in davoi for skins, make about 2 stacks every
hour, 30k a stack. low levels
don't really need awesome equipment, no need for +1 @ lvl 1-20 it's ridiculous ppl
buy this stuff for 10k more than orig. price for just 1 more def. so you get hit with
33 most of the time instead of 35 w00t.

just watch what mobs drop and check prices of what you got, decide what you're gonna kill and then research to find out where these monsters lurk. asof lvl 75 if you wanna know how to make money... uhh... did you buy your account? lol sorry if you're @ 75 and can't figure out how tomake good money i'm sorry there are toomany ways to go into.

one other thing, Obviously crafting you can pull huge profits @ high lvls. but getting there, you kinda need money... Crafting can be use to make good money @ semi-low levels Alchemy particularly. Find a quick way to come by slime oils (farm slimes in korroloka, or if it's over camped try like gusgen mines and such) and farm beehive chips from bees, instead of selling them, synth from them. Beeswax is lvl 5 so you can basically lvl off it from 1-5 (Water: distilled water x1, beehive chip x3), and silent oils (Water: beeswax x2 slime, oil x1) and i believe you get yield 3each synth... figure distilled water @ guild 6gil, stack water 1k per. spend about 2 hours farming beehive chips, 2 hours farming slime oils, 10 minutes synthing silent oils, should be able to make about 6+ stacks of oil in about 4+ hours, avg. about 20k a stack, give or take a few grand, about 120k in about 4 hours. even buying the slime oils you could pull about half that in half the time ^^ good luck.

OK - I just stasrted mining in Oldton Movalpolis a few weeks ago. My smithing skill is 34, and my goldsmithing is rising fast (10 as of today). I am on the Lakshmi server and in the Jeuno AH The moblin equipment I mine sells really fast and for a decent ammount of gil. I synth the iron ore into into Iron ingots(3k each) which occasional gets me a steel ingot(9k each) and I synth the Copper and Zinc ore into Brass ingots(16k Stack). Zinc can also be synthed into Zinc Oxide (20-30k stack). There is not many results of the sales on zinc Oxide since it is a new synth to the game. I am experimenting as to which sells better, Brass ingots or Zinc Oxide. On the occasion (at least one each every time I mine) I will mine up some Platinum, Darksteel, Gold, and Mythril ores. I have never made less than 100k per hour here. Last time I was there I made 300K in an hour. The only problem I was running into was filling up my inventory. I am not a high enough level in goldsmithing to desynth the moblin equipment, and it does not stack. I drop the following items: Igneous Rock, Tin Ore, Moblin Armor, Silver Ore(till my goldsmithing is high enough to synth Silver Ingots) The Silver ore takes too much space and does not sell for crap on lakshmi. In short I do not keep anything 1k or less in value that I can not synth and stack.

This is a lot of items after mining only an hour or so. I put the most expensive items in the AH and Bazaar the rest at the top of the stairs leading to the Chocobo License Quest. My complete inventory of moblin equipment WILL sell every day. I simply mine the last hour or so that I play and head to jeuno when my Inventory is full and leave my account logged in while I am not playing as a Bazaar. This is a good example of how Crafting does pay off. The only things i buy are Pickaxes and Fire Crystals.
If anyone wants to try this I am willing to post a modified map I made form the Killing Ifrit website with all the mining points in Oldton Movalpolis. I believe you must be at least level 60 to avoid aggro in This zone. Two of the mining points are Beyond a small area of Moblin Rodman mobs which Con Easy Prey to a level 60 Character, but do not aggro. If you are going to mine below the recomended level take a ninja sub, There are Bombs and Elementals here. Magic aggro

For those wondering Moblin Helm and Mail have a HQ3 synth to Gold Ingots 80K each on lakshmi. That is why the helm/mail sell so fast. You must have an extreamly high goldsmithing skill to achieve this. I assume someone with a Ubber high goldsmithing could make a lot of gil here.

For Desyn, it is rumored that the skill equal to the desyn cap will yield the highest amount of HQ. Thus, it is not really true that you need high GS to HQ3 the Helm/mails.

I am just stating what what i have read... I am not talking about a +1 desynth - I am talking about a +3 Desynth - I am refering to a post i read on allakhazam about the desynthing of moblin mail/helm. I do not have a high enough goldsmithing to confirm/deny it, but I have read that it takes a level 50+ to begin getting the gold ingot as a constant result. Have read that is it 1/12 for success after that level under the right conditions. To me... level 50+ is ubber high

a good source of income for me has usually been to sub thf, go out in to Davoi, make trains, then AoE them til they die, for a good sized train you can get at least 10k off of gil drops alone, and some of the scrolls they drop go for a good price.
