I'm guessing these pirates have placeholders? Because i cannot find them.
Also what level are they? How many arrows does the captain have?

Ok, I tested this out on Friday night last week. Here is everything I learned.

Location: Leave Nek docks and go down the beach to the right. You will see two camps next to eachother. Each camp is randomly populated with solo, 2 monster Mobs, 3 monster Mobs, and an occasional 4 monster Mob.

How to get pirate captain: Pirate captain will ALWAYS appear with two other pirates. He is usually ++, but green at level 27-29. Almost all the other mobs there are grey by level 28. As far as placeholders go, it is a poop shoot. Any place that can hold 3 person Mobs can be a placeholder. I have seen the pirate captain 3 person group spawn at 3 different spots in both camps all at the same time, and in almost every spot at least once. It seems to wait to pop based on open spots, not necessarily locations. I had two pirate captain mobs popping on two spots every spawn, but after someone pulled a 2 person mob and 2 solo mobs to the guards and got them killed, they no longer spawned those spots.

If you can get it to a point where you have all spawn spots filled up, and two captain mobs are there, try to just kill the captain mobs, it seems they will respawn consistently as long as non of the other placeholders die. Also note, the spawn rate is like every 2-3 minutes seemingly.

Treasure: Ok, this is a bit disappointing. I camped the pirates for about 4-5 hours Friday night. The good news is they drop a chest about 85% of the time. The bad news is, I got not a single rare drop from them. About 65% of the drops seemed to be adept I books, 20% random quest starter crap, 15% armor/weapon drops (mid to low 20lvl equipment, nothing incredible).

Further notes: The other 3 person/2 person mobs do seem to drop chests frequently also. It is not neerly as frequent as captain mobs, but decent rate non the less. Treasure seems to follow same ratio as above.

So there yah go. Looks like they nerfed the rares, but seems to be a good book source non-the-less.

they just repopulated most of TS ((most of the old ^^ group mobs are now solo mobs)) from what I saw yesterday can anyone comfirm for nek?
