I think this has been fixed. We've been trying this for 3 days now and found no more BS than we usually would.

It cant be fixed unless they change how the spawns for all the creatures work on all the planets. Or nerf the drop rate. This is all about understanding how the spawns work. Finding an area and camping it. Killing everything you can in a solo group.

Instead of running around all over yavin until you have nothing left but factional NPC.

You only need to find a good spot with plenty of spawns to kill.

Rebels spawn in the north, Imps in the south so make sure you go to the area where you can kill the NPC.

Well Ive been doing this and I gotta tell you, it still works great. The only problem is they must have dropped the drop rate considerably because Ive been doing it all day and nothing has dropped :(

Today I tried this trick for the first time. I found an area that already had some BS spawns, but cleared them out and then cleared out everything else around. Sure enough, after enough clearing more BS spawns appeared. I managed to loot 2 bases and a BH belt in one hour of killing. I think I was lucky, but yes it still works.

May I ask what types of Black Suns you were killing? I have killed dozens of Guards, Assassins, and Henchmen, but nothing!

Often thats the case. They nerfed the drop rate some months back. I now spend hours killing those suckers for possibly one drop. Although the last time i tried, I was there for days and got none. Then a guildie comes up and loots one right away.

Yea, it looks like thats the case. The only thing I've looted in about 3 hours of killing was a BH bicep. Still looking for those Jet Pack pieces!

I been trying this at several locations with no luck a few new spawns of Blacksun here and there. Does the spawns of Rebel and Imperial NPC effect this? It seams as I clear the area it fills up with these guys.

Thanks

Yes, this is why its best to stick to one spot and farm it, otherwise all the spawns fill up with Faction NPC.

Rebels at the northern part of the world and Imperials in the south.
So if you are Imp, you are best to go north and vise versa.

This way you can kill them when they spawn to take up normal spawn locations.

There are no BS spawns, all the spawns cycle randomly. So if you are lucky, you will get quite a few BS spawns pop at once within a 200-300m area. It saves running all over the world.

Again I have farmed 1 spot for a couple days then moved around some. I am finding it does not matter where I go eventually rebel faction NPC will spawn and I am unable to clear them out. So after many hours of trying still no JP base

Dude! No really, DUDE!

I'd like to see a group of 4 keeping an area with a 250-300 meter radius cleared - the spawns should just cycle, cycle, cycle...

Then you are on the wrong part of the planet. Go to the Imperial side where you will get Imperial NPC cycles not Rebels.

Generally the South-East for BS/Imperial spawns, or North-West for BS/Rebel.

Thats exactly how it works for most spawns on any planet. Its just Yavin has special BS thrown into the random cycles.
