I was just wondering, perhaps this is the wrong thread to ask but: With this bot, where is the best location to work on weapon smithing? I'm a high elf weapon smith, level 26.

Additionally, how long do you think it will take me to hit 50 with this bot? I have essentially all day free to use it, as it's summer and I don't start working until August :)

Beergeek can probably answer this better than I, but...

Best location would generally be an area that 1) has plenty of work orders available, 2) is uncrowded by other people doing WO grinding, 3) you would like to earn faction with

As to how long, no clue. Depends if your location runs out of work orders often... if VG patches and VGE needs an update, etc etc

Irtann's post is essentially correct, but the bot can be configured to do enough work order types where there is little to no chance you will run out between finishing and refining. It takes about 15 turn-ins before work orders start reappearing.

Other than that, if you're grinding levels, it's as Irtann said. Avoid crowded areas. The navigation routine will generally put you in the same position at the crafting table each time. If a player gets in front of you, the bot won't activate the table since it's mouseclick only (not to mention avoiding the players who accuse everyone higher level than themselves of botting). Faction is the other issue for location, both continental and city. If you're only interested in continental faction, since certain quest recipes for all trades require 5k for the particular continent, player housing islands work just fine.

How long it will take you to cap, assuming no vge breakdowns after patch, smooth running of the bot and no bonus xp periods, may be a couple / few weeks running during most hours of the day.

Of course, extended vge outages such as this one will add to that time.

A new VGExtraOffsets.vbs file has been uploaded on the OP for the recent patch.

Sneaky bastages did away with the vgclient.dll module and rolled it into vgclient.exe. (this is also why vgextreme isn't detecting vanguard running)

Note: at the time of this update, the patched vgextreme client has NOT been posted. The file update I am providing will only keep the bot running correctly after vgextreme is fixed.

I have just finished my bot configuration. However when I try to run the bot, it tells me:

Here is the section to which I was directed:

Umm, sorry to have another issue so soon. But here it is:

The bot runs great, until it goes to hail an NPC or start clicking "Accept" after it's selected a work order at the forge. At those instances it tabs me out of Vanguard. When I try to tab back in it immediately tabs me out again, but it continues to run between NPCs.

I have never heard of anything like that happening, nor do I know what would cause it to tab out of vanguard, but here are a couple suggestions...

- Make sure all the vgextreme files are updated. don't just run the updatevgextreme.exe program, but delete all the other files first (not script files, just the .exe, .dll and .tlb files), then run the updater

- If that doesn't work, it's possible a key may be stuck on your keyboard. Use a keyboard test program to make sure all keys are functioning properly.

Hey all.. I finally got the Crafting bot running, but have run into some problems. After a bunch of configuring, I was able to get it to craft a few recipe's half decently for me, but it seems when a certain recipe setup comes up, it does a few turns properly upping my quality, but when a complication comes up, it will solve the complication then stop upping my quality and just try to finish the recipe regardless of what percent I'm at for quality. When it gets to Step 2, it does absolutely nothing. It brings up the different crafting options, but it doesn't select any of them for some reason. There's also a really frustrating complication that seems to have its coordinates out of place so the mouse tries to click the icon, but the icon is too far to the right for the cursor to hit anything.

Are these known problems with Leatherworking, or do I have something setup wrong? The script was running fine until I hit a recipe that had the 2 hammer looking icons on the same step. Thanks for any help!

Not a problem with leatherworking... I've leveled crafters with this in all trades.

Is there a specific comp where this happens? There may be a data error causing the click in the incorrect location.

Also, did you download and update the latest vgextraoffsets.vbs in the OP? It was modified about a week and a half ago.
