No hurries on patch. 2.0 works for me. and thanks again for taking the time to work on this.

and Viliden, try turning off HealSTR2. I found in past that it won't go back to 1 for some reason. it may have been fixed or worked around, not sure. but try just 1 only for testing. and then maybe you can tweak it after it works.

just downloaded 2.1, went through char ini file and found another typo guess that was holding script anyway sofar it works, thanks for help.


UltraBot2.1 was telling me he wouldnt get the logfile and i realized it doesnt do a /log when it starts so it would use the logfile that is created under the servername and since servername var is in ini file it might gotten missed in the 2.1 upgrade

next step on my menu prolly will have time at end of week will be to get offensive Bot running together with buffbot

I had the same issue with the /log however I could not get it to start after doing a /log and it was late so didn't have time to play with it.

I know Megabot 2.9beta3 eliminates using /log by using the log file outside the server directory to help cut down on ways SOE can track you so maybe Slamm was thinking along the same lines. I didn't have time to restart without doing /log so will try it tonight.

Hi,

last post before leaving, I didnt realize yesterday when I put in new code to correct a little bug that I had remove the part about log using server name, now it does not use server name anymore and does not do a /log, so it use the log that is created automaticaly when you start the game. I am sorry for that.

I can't ffigure this out. I got 2.1 running, Got my script file in C:\Xunleashed\Scripts

got EQ2Ultrabot foler in
C:\Xunleashed\Scripts

get this message in my log.

Is there a step by step instalation thing? I stated just with 2 commands on a lvl 3 priest to to get the hang of it. so I only have these spells

CombatSequence2STR=qb1,Minor healing,2,1s,24s

I changes everything else to ~
But ~ is my auto attack button is that okay?

Can I Two box on one Box?

I Seem to have gotten Megabot to work, but I haveing an issue. I am on one computer and when I put my bot in the background, all it's commands affect my real charecter.
Is there anyway around this? Cause its killing me.

No the bot cannot run in the background. There was a thread about someone working on this but I havent seen any progress in a while.

Smaggmeron post or PM me your char.ini file so I can see how you have it setup. ALSO it is prob. a good idea if you start out with version 1.0 or 2.0 since 2.1 was just released and kinda still buggy, might save you some time till 2.1 gets iron out.

Also Smaggmeron I would not recommend using a bot (solo) - (unless running a bot group) any sooner than lvl 17ish. Prior to 17 IMO is kinda pointless because of the mob difficulty vs player abilities.

I am just running the bot at this low level to get the hang of how it works not to do any real leveling.

Thanks for your responce guys and loraik, I got version Megabot working fine.
I am tryng to work the bot on one machine. I tried logging into my first account and leaveing it running while logging off windows and switching to a diffrent user. I can run two charecters alright in the seperate windows account, but as soon as I turn on the bot the system crashes.

I know it was probably a stupid idea but I tried.

I wonder if there is a program out there that would act like a shield between the 2 everquest windows so they don't interfere with eachother.

I know nothing of programing but would something like an installshield work in this case?

I have looked and looked and looked and from all the people that "know" XP they say it is currently not possible to have two windows be current for scripting. So unless you get another machine you will be unable to run both.

I am hitting a meeting now and will review your files when I get back (about an hour or two).

Actually I dont want to run a bot in both windows, only one. I want a bot to follow me while i actually play. But still I guess there is not a diffrence.
Thats for the info. Ill continue to look into it.
