Max Levels : GW Discussion

I have only been playing guild wars for a few hours, I think the level 20 cap is ideal as it makes it more of a level playing ground for everyone. I am not a diehard gamester so am reluctant to play against or even with people who are tech head gamesters. Guild wars had made online gaming more pleasant for people like me who love sprawling games where you need to think about what your doing, not just killing everything for the sake of it.

I think they need a level cap. I guess im the type that always like the ability to make my player better and i hate recreating new toons.

i never minded the low lvl cap, i wouldnt want it any higher, that just means more lvl grinding

Anet has said that Guild Wars 2 will have a higher level cap or may not even have one at all. I'm guessing that if they chose to implement no level cap then they would implement it with diminishing returns so it becomes impractical to level up beyond a certain point.

i think it would be good to have a higher cap but have it to where the game progressed with you and other players on the same level like some other games ive played. but yes it does have its ups and downs about it.

I think that it's good for PvP because it's easy to get to the same level

if you take a game like World Of Warcraft, everthing is Level Based and Gear Based. With Guild Wars, a level 18 can beat a level 20 and a level 18 can have the same items as the level 20. Everthing is based on the build and the skills of the player

When I started Guild Wars, I tought that 20 wasn't enoug but now I think that 20 levels is not alot of level for more fun

Yea guild wars is a lot more skill based. Im still a hard core asherons call fan and i wish they would do something about that game being free because its pvp is great.

I just don't like the fact that you're never THAT much stronger than the enemies... I think 25 or 30 would be better... considering they have dragons and monsters ranging from 1-30 in level.

Well im fine being on par with the mobs i fight. My problem is that i dont feel im progressing. Something wow does well is make you want that extra tier armor to get more. Guild wars looses that edge quickly IMO.
