I like to use Japanese names that mean something that has to do with your class, but that's just me.

I sometimes try for cool looking words on the descriptions of the characters or class, EX: If the word Malevolent is in the description for rogue, I'll name my guy Malevolent

well it depends on your class but for mage gnome you could try something like minifridge lol

for rogues:

(also any stupid names like objects suit torrens well like...)
