I've also attempted to swap a crafted armor bracer for a statted backpack, to attempt retrofitting and it wont work.
That's good to know. I wanted to retrofit a pack, too.

I am on farstar. I thought he was selling pre-nerfed ones? Thats what he claimed in his thread at least. Well, i guess he probably isnt but still hes not exactly giving it away

Also, hello shervin from farstar ;) Your forum name isnt exactly the most cunning disguise.

Anyways, I modded my RIS helmet object files. I can drag a breastplate mod onto it and it asks if i am sure, but when i click yes it does not actually attach itself :(

Anyone able to re-socket packs?

It seems the reason this works is because a PSG takes up a belt slot, so changing the appearance doesn't make a huge fundamental change. Changing a helmet to a chest plate is making it into a completely different thing altogether, if it did work, which I don't think anyone will be able to figure out any way, it would probably stick your helmet on your torso when you tried to equip it.

Maybe we should try modding a hat or a visor to look like a helmet and then try modding it. Would help Jedi out.

Some idiot decided to post this information on the Scylla forums, wondering if this was better than a belt. So Im sure that the devs now are considering a fix for this.
