Thanks Beergeek, all is running well once more. With you no longer playing VG, I hope your bot remains active for a while. Its really one of the best Ive seen. If there is anything I could do or learn to do to help keep this running, just let me know.

Being a moderator specifically for the VG forums (general for the whole site as all other moderators are), I intend to maintain the bot as regularly as possible.

The biggest issue is that I won't necessarily know when an update is needed. The secondary issue is that having to form a trial account each time I need to update is somewhat a PITA and may slow down the rapid response from the past.

EDIT: the secondary concern could be made easier if someone is willing to let me use their account and create a character on it strictly for offset updating. if not, no big deal, but the extra hassle may delay it getting done.

seems to not like my x64 box, tried it on a x32 box and it was fine.

yea, i think the newer vgextremeservice does not like x64. it's also the only version that can be used with the craft bot since it's a compiled program, rather than an interpreted script. The wrapper functionality does not work in the older version.

Thank you, beergeek, for v2. Just trying it out. One problem: I disabled the waypoint navigtion under "General". But when I try to do some work orders it tells me: "BOT HALTED. Route navigation enabled with at least one missing route." What am I missing here?
Item crafting seems to be working just fine.
Thanks.

I just checked the code, there is no reason I can see it would do that assuming navigation is correctly turned off. Open the general settings window, click the craft options tab, and see if the Use Waypoint Navigation comes up checked or cleared. If checked, clear it, click save, exit program, restart and go back to that tab and make sure the setting actually saved. If it comes back checked, try editing the settings ini file directly. The variable is UseNavigation under [Crafting] and should be set to False

Use Waypoint Navigation comes up cleared and UseNavigation is set to False, but I still get the error :(

FYI, i'm working on some techniques to find the static pointers for the offsets I'm using much more easily after patches. Specifically, I'm recording some code signatures as byte arrays minus any pointer values. If this works (which I won't know until next patch), eventually I'll write routines in the bot itself that will scan vg memory at launch.

If it then works as I hope, the bot should continue working through patches unless there's a major revamp to the code itself. Also if it works, I may write a "how-to" guide on offsets and static pointer searches.

Regardless, next patch that breaks the bot, someone post in this thread AND send me a PM letting me know it's broke.

The short-term workaround seems to be - to make fake routes (just hit f2-f12) until it's done, and then it works fine. It's kind of annoying though to do it at every outpost.

BTW, a question to those who use waypoints.
The reason I don't is that pretty much everywhere Taskmasters move around so waypoints would not work. The only place I could think of where the taskmaster stays put is TG. That's also the only place that i found where WOs don't run out midlevel. (Everywhere else, I may do half dozen batches and have to move to another outpost).
So how do you guys deal with this? Are there more spots where TMs don't move?

Taskmasters do not move at any of the player housing crafting areas.

For some reason when I try and use waypoints it runs in circles.

Do you have standard WASD configuration for movement? Also, does it run in circles or stay put and spin in a circle? If it runs in circles, make sure you don't have any speed buffs up or put your character in walk mode and try.

i get the log and settings folders to create but then it closes.

Also i get the splash screen but i never get the authentication screen.
