Questions on functionality in EQ2 : EverQuest 2 General Discussions

Okay, let me start off by saying I used to play EQ1 and ran MQ2. I no longer play EQ1. I now play with EQ2.

With that said. Let me get to my questions. With MQ2, everything and anything could be macro'd and/or scripted in EQ1 and I do mean anything!!

UI windows could be detected on if they were open or closed, i.e. the inventory window, or the spellbook, ect...ect...

GM's that were in zone could be detected, provided they weren't GM invisible

macro's could be triggered by recieving certain text in the chat window

ect..ect..

Can Xunleashed do these same things? Is it has powerfull as MQ2? I've looked thru the scripts that i can download and discovered that Xunleashed is indeed a very powerfull tool and probably something that I'll go ahead download but before i pay to do that, i want to be sure I'm getting what I need to get.

Does Xunleashed come with a list of commands and variables available for use?

conditional yes: XU has to potential to do everything you ask- however, you may need to request additional data to be added to whats exposed by eqservice.

That begs the question of, If i ask for it, will i get it....and will i get it in a timely manner?

I don't like asking for something and getting it 2 months later, if at all.

Yes xunleashed has the potential to do pretty much everything in EQ 2. Wyvern's EQ2 service provides all the scripting commands. There are quite a few very dynamic bots and scripts out there already and the community is pretty active. If you have a problem people ussually respond and offer their help. Personally, I have always been replied to when I had a question within a few days but ussually in a few hours. The program is definately worth it.

Put it this way: any data avalible to the client that has been asked for, AFIAK, has been exposed by XU, and in a timely maner. Theres an open thread allowing for more datatypes to be added, no one has asked for anything specific yet thats not already there.
