well i played l2 for bout.... 5 months... and well theres so many rude ppl and the olny reason y i want to bot is bc its so boring grindinmg and farming.... i have a few Q's about CoH


Is movement like L2?

Also it combat like L2?

Pro's and cons of CoH?

What comparisons of pros and cons could you say about L2 & CoH?


Is it repetitive?

Do u get loot from thugs or only quest rewards?


Are there any items like armor n stuff or some sort of wpn thing that boosts ur skills?


Can u solo just as well as u can group?


Can u go off and kill stuff without quests?


Whats the money used for and called?


Will it be fun until HL2 comes out and WoW if i buy it this weekend?


Is it worth 15$ a month?


Can u customize urself to look like a dbz character?

How many servers r there?

What r there unofficial stats? (ie unofficial european server)

How many chars can u make per server?

Can u own a pet sort of thing?

Are there alot of original skills? not like L2 where u get 5-6 but u build em up

Will there be pvp? I heard it was in expansion

Is there rare loot u can get from certain villians? like in lineage some monsters have small chances of droppin a wpn

Pros:Almost completely customizable characters in terms of visual appearance. Has a lot more combinations of skills. It's a zone based world. Character creation requires you to take a tutorial mission which is done really well. Dying takes nothing, it just gives you a small exp debt you have to pay off. half your xp goes to debt and half goes into your pool when you have debt to be paid off.

Cons:No items beyond "temporary buffs"/enhancements. No trenchcoats. No Villians(yet). Still new so still working some kinks out(task force missions).

I'd say I played eq for 3 years and UO for 5 and countless others inbetween. Lineage 2 sucks balls(non-biased) and CoH has kept me entertained for a longer time than usual. It's really enjoyable being able to go anywhere in the box of the zone you're in. With travel skills like, TP, super speed, super jump, and fly.

Only if you're lazy and don't change your hunting spots.

You get temporary buffs that last 60 seconds or something and give you ex.a 25% dmg bonus. Also enhancements for your skills but other than that. NO GEAR.

No gear. I thought it was a horrible idea at first but now I don't have to worry about buying/selling gear. Or worrying about how its going to look. or worrying about loosing that !@#$%^&* when you die.

As per every other game thats a class dependant question but, yes.

Yes there are gangs everywhere.

Influence, buying yourself enhancements for your skills and inspirations for battling. Thats it.

Hell yes.

Think of the !@#$%^&* movies in the theaters and realize 15 is a damn fine price for this much entertainment.

A brilliant difference. Worlds of original and beautiful visual candy in terms of skills. You wont see anything like mortal blow that is just lame because you've just been upgrading that forever.

You can get uber enhancements that make happy pants but no "omfg i just got a goldenrod" or anything close to it

Opinion - L2 really does suck.

In terms of battle, CoH is VERY fun. When City of Villains comes out, it will be awesome! Right now CoH is okay.

I've played L2 and CoH, and CoH is by far the better of the 2!!!

Visigoth, you said in your answer that there are pets that you can get.
Ive played CoH for about a month now and I havent seen anyone with one.
Please clarify what you mean.

i think he was talking about l2... mabe he got confused on that lol.. i looked all over the net for a pet on heros there is none.

oh if he means a blasters sentinel.. Or a controlers summinings.. thats as close as it gets.

only certain classes can have pets, and they are decent level before you get one, controllers are usually the ones that get them Fire and illusion controllers that i know of.. CoH is awesome.
