5 million won't last you anywhere folloing the guides on allakhazam, especially not as far as 95.

This is the guide I been following:
http://home.mchsi.com/~sicboy/MyGuide.htm

I'm lvl 70 Goldsmithing an its been a long road geting here. I'll tell you how I did it, which may different than a lot others but it worked for me. Over 3-4 months I added mules to my account, they are only a $1 and a well worth it. I now have 10 mules + my main, I pay 25.95 a month for the account an have my mules spread out in the 3 smaller citys an 2 in Jueno. I used those mules to grow Ice Ores as my main sorce of gil. I farmed the tree saplings and planted an waited for harvest time twice a month an bought all my gear an lvl up goldsmithing too. Since I'm talking about Ores heres a link to the best way how to grow them:
www.ariah.curiouss.com

Anyways goldsmithing is not very profitable an I never made any gil at it at all untill I seen at lvl 60 I needed to make Platinum Ingots. I seen that I could grow the platinum nuggets, so switched to useing 5 mules to grow them. Well when I started synthing them an looked at the AH price for a stack was 1 million gil(valefor server) I finshed skilling up and switched all my mules to growing Platinum Niggets as my main sorce of gil. After paying for some other materials(platinum ores, fire crystals) I currently make about 7 Million gil every 12 days. I just lvl up from 68 to 70 useing the 7 stacks of platinum Ingots, synthing them into Platinum Rings. 7 Stacks wasen't enough, so I bought 4 stacks of Gold Ingots. Synth them into 2 moon rings, an used the rest to synth Torques. This is crazy gil. The current price of the Gold Ingots are about 700K + the stacks of Platinum Ingots (worth 7Million) Thats a little more than 10 Million.. Good thing I grew the Platinum otherwise this would be out of the question as far spending the 10 Million Gil to get 2 lvl's. Good luck, I think its the hardest Craft to skill up.....

hey, a fellow valefor citizen, anyways, i think that goldsmithing if freakin hard, and you should quit right now, or you could set up a sleak system to make a fishing bot in yuggoht grotto (ignore the spelling please) and get a bunch of silver rings and craft them into balance rings or such to sell to us lazy people. you can make a pretty good profit off goldsmithing, but you have to put alot into it first.

Ok, 5 million was possible 5 months ago, before all that crap inflation....to 90 maybe... my friend used 3M to get to 80+ ..., but if you know what to craft, making some money through desyn, it should be quite ok. PAtience is teh key.

A VERY significant part in how to get goldsmithing high is to have a nice garden. However, while you use less money while leveling goldsmithing using said garden you are often losing gil compared to if you had simply sold the result.

Heck, if I were to include what I've used my goldsmithing for in non skillup synths since I started it I've made 30+ million gil while getting to 70.

However, for all other crafts when you say "It takes x amount to get to y" that means powerleveling it that far. You can't really powerlevel unless you've surrendered you credit card to IGE.
