Before I purchase : FFXI General Discussions

Before I purchase XUnleashed, does anyone here have a Radeon x800Pro video card? I want to play windowed and the public windower doesn't work with this card.

Also, how efficient is the fishing script, and how difficult is the language to learn (bare in mind I know C++, VB, and Java)

Any help would be apprciated

If you know VB, C++ and jave and you'll be fine, as far as i know, all the scripts here are wrote in VB.

As far as working with your card.. I also have a Radeon x800 and The public windower works fine(I prefer it over XU's Windower since XU doesnt support game pads that well)

The fishing scripts are nice(I've only used them once or twice but they seemed to be working nicely). I mostly use things like the Auto-Mob farmer for farming synthing materials, etc. The Radar is a nice feature as well since it shows all mobs in the area(it provides live creature info, however it also displays dead mobs.. :S) But, there is endless possibilities with XU's and i feel its definately worth the 24$ i paid

Hmmm, What driver version do you have for your x800pro? I have the most updated one 5.6 I think. Even if I get the public one working, I might stick with XU. I wrote a guide for the submissions, maybe I'll get free premium...who knows. Thanks for the quick response

The 5.6 driver sucks, downgrade to 5.4 or 5.2.

I figured out it wasnt my video driver...entirely...i just have to focus on another window after i click play.

Now the problem is that i can only click the screen once. After that the game exits. if i minimize or close to regain focus, the same thing happens. Its rather irritating...anyone heard of issues with using wireless kb/mouse combos with the windower?
