XU failed to load? : FFXI General Discussions

when i click play a screen pops up and says "XU failed to load. Due to the nature of how XU interacts with the system you will need to log in as administrator" what does this mean and how can i get it to work? thnx in advance

are you setup in the OS as a user or a system administrator? If you are a setup as a user XU is detecting that you do not have permission to do some of the things XU wants to do in the OS. If this is the case - you will have to log onto the system in an administrator profile and change your profile to system administrator.
