Account Banned! : FFXI General Discussions

My account was recently banned for using the speed hack. Has anyone else been banned before? I wasn't allowed to defend myself, the GM just booted me offline after telling me my account will be banned.

Anyone manage to get your account back after it's banned?

Been using Flee.exe ever since it came out every single day every single time i play FF.

Fleeing like a madman across La thein plateau etc.

i think the only way you could get caught is if someone sees you, because unless FFXI GMs are starting to get payed more than minimum wage, they are too lazy to check all the technical stuff

Yes bro i got banned about 2 weeks ago for using the speed hack.It was my !@#$%^&* fault for using it at Roc camp,but i was reported by a ls who did know i used a POS hack to get up there and did not go through the Garliage Citadel hehehehe.What happened was i zoned in the middle of Roc camp into Mordion Gaol which for those who dont know that GM jail.I was approached by [GM] Luminous.He said i was caught using a speed hack.I acted as if i had no clue what he was talking about so then he decided to show himself and obviouly activate is own hack and did exactly what i was doing.It was pretty funny.Anyways i was giving a 72hour ban and told that if i was caught using it again that my account would be up for termination.That was my experience but i still dont understand why you were terminated right off the bat.

If you're terminated right off the bat you've probably had a 2nd or possibly 3rd offense before.

It was my first offense but I did give the GM a hard time. I denied using it completely. He said I will be suspended for I forget how long with the possibility of a ban. So I said go ahead then, ban me for no reason.

He booted me offline, and after the suspension period I got the account banned message. That sux, my account was valuable too.

That blows.lol I've never used speed hacks because i see them as pretty much pointless, sure you can get around faster, and no need for chocobo... But as of trying to beat the crowd to an NM or HNM i'm pretty sure people would notice and start spamming GM calls, probably even ppl in my LS ^^; But i have gotten one of my accounts banned before but it was pretty much on purpose, i repeatidly brought mobs in WRon to gate which in turn would aggro the low lvls sitting around wating for a toro to die. (just cuz i wanted to see GM Jail, never been there before =D) anyways a bunch of high lvls GM Called me (on my mule) and i was being nice when i got warped, told them i was doing it to see GM Jail and that didn't make them very happy but anyways it was banned for 72 hours and i was being a smartass.

Normally GM's have a rating on each charachter, as low risk, medium risk,
and high risk of violating the terms of agreement. Past infractions with the
TOS can cause a raise in lvl of your account, and this can be done so without
your knowledge, so the fact that you were automatically banned could
be because you were giving him a hard time, and it might have been because
the GM was a girl and she was on the rag that day, but it's also very possible
you have had previous complaints on you account and you didn't know about it.
Anyways i'm sorry for your loss ; ; take it easy.

I just wanna know about it. I thought when we are banned we just cant get in the game . is there really a jail ??

Before you are actually banned, you're teleported to an area called Mordion Gaol, AKA Jail to speak with a GM.

All a GM has to do is say your banned and why, he doesn't need to give much more reason then that or here your side of it or give you a second chance. Most times GM take you to Mordion Gaol so you can be in private, but if you get a GM in a bad mood there is nothing that says he can't ban you for breaking the smallest of rules.

Remember GM are people, and well if your wife just left you, or crashed your car or some random thing you may take it out on someone else just to get it out.

Getting Banned really sucks. I have had a character banned before that was very valuable to me.

[GM] Luminious seems to be the special GM in charge of investigating warp and speed hack calls. Ive head 4 people now say that was the GM that got them for such actions. Hes who banned me.

GM Jail does suck. Without warning, you will be zoned into Mordion Gaul (kinda like a large cell in Bostineaux Obilette) where you will stand by yourself for about 5-10 min before a GM finally materializes in sparkly armor in front of you. The GMs give real stock responses, hardly drifting from the script. Here was how mine went:

GM: You have been found guilty of using warp hack.
Me: Bummer man.
GM: Your suspension will begin at midnight JP time.
Me: But there must be some mistake!
GM: The data clearly shows evidence of warp hacking.
GM: Your suspension will begin at midnight JP time.
Me: How long am I suspended?

then he left without answering and POL logged me out with a lil warning message that I had been suspended. Since this was my 3rd offense (I had gilsellers call GMs on me at Mee all the time) I was actually banned. When I logged on in 3 days, instead of the "Your POL account is temp. suspended" i got
"We have closed your POL ID. Please contact the POL info Center"

If you ever have the displeasure of contacting the POL info center, go ahead and shoot yourself now, its ridiculous. Even though the message tells you to contact them for more info, POL info center will tell you this:

We cannot retrieve information on why accounts are banned or suspended. Only a GM can tell you why, and to talk to a GM, you need to log on using your own POL ID. You cannot log on with another POL ID and ask a GM why a different POL ID was banned. Basically they give you the run around.

That is messed up but funny in a way.

Gilseller's called Gm's on you that's screwed up. It's pretty much all there fault that people have to use speed hacks and stuff cuz they camp NM's 24/7 the worst part is that they prolly use the same programs as you and they called Gm on you.
