if u are lvl 40+ and u want to get gold u just have to go to sm graveyard the monsters there drop 1-6 silver a kill

anyone else know any other good spots im 40 and need my mount

at 40, instances are always the best for money... if you HAVE to solo, i would do humanoids. of course depending on your professions and class, there might be faster ways of making money.

in general, get greens and OK exp from instances, sell the greens on the AH... i would do ZF since ur 40. for soloing, if you are melee class, yeti's in alterac i guess... mage u can aoe stuff in hillsbrad or arathi...

better yet, just tell us what class profession you are and ill come up with a nice plan for you if u need something besides ZF

im a lvl 40 orc warr and proffs are mining/smithing

mining is great for making money, ZF groups will love to have you along so i would go there and make a ton of xp while saving up the greens you roll on... sell everything in the AH and ur good to go pretty soon

i know this is pretty ghey but sometimes when something comes along that i really need i get 100 gold off a trusted ebay store for $7.50 so i can use it right away and then save up my gold and every time i get over 100g, i put it back up for auction on ebay later dont have to wait for your greens and minerals to sell that way...

or if ur like me and dont mind spending money on a game anyway and are just planning on grinding for gold till you get the amount you need... then consider how much gold you will be making per hour of actually playing wow. Then calculate other ways of making money in real life, like if ur a kid, how much would ur parents pay you to mow the lawn that week? or in my case, how much would i make for staying overtime for an hour today?

the way i see it, if i need something like a mount, ill stay an hour after work, make an extra 12 bucks for my time, then spend 15$ on 200gold... the time it takes me to grind 200gold easily would take way longer than an hour at the office and just sitting here getting some work done, or maybe goin oustide for a change in your case... of course spending money online or trusting some of the ebay sellers is up to you, and some might think its just wrong to spend real money on a video game, but when u have a choice to go home and waste time in front of your comp screen or make 12 bux overtime at the office and get 200g for it... it just doesnt seem like a bad deal lol...

OR, if your 60 you can farm Tears Hand (or however you spell it) south of the flight path in Eastern plague lands... they drop from 20 - 30s and drop rares about every 3hrs.

lol are you mocking me ? ok for starters when your lvl 5 get mining and skinning they are great money makers. When your lvl 40 you can swap on of the primarys for whatever you want. I say jsut lvl up your skinning and mining if you want to get your mount easier than spending hours in SM; of coarse in additions you can do ZF and SM for additional cash and loot, but primary professions such as Mining and Skinning are the way to money.

There is another thing you could try. I'm sure it's been said, but as it's on topic...


You can take your items to a "Neutral" city (i.e: Booty Bay) and make use of the AH there. You can sell things for almost double in the neutral cities. Quite a few people make these cities their home, and as it's an easy access AH and not linked with the others, they'd rather buy it than travel to find cheaper.


Doubt this is any help, but my experiences have been nice.

Shadow Oil = Gold.


Alchemy = Gold.


Herbalism = Gold.



Alch/Herb is a nice pairing to have for quick $$ as well. It costs you nothing other than travel money and time to gather herbs, and not much for vials used for alchemy.

Stuff like Shadow Oil and Protection potions sell well.

Also, herbs you gather along your path that you dont need can be sold at premium prices in any AH.

I've been making 4g a stack of kingsblood, and thats easy as pie to get.
