hey, i know nothign about offsets, but wondering if it would be possable to make it so you could attack mobs on a wall and that they cant hit you back, or is wall climbing server side

i beleave it is posible to do just like in eq1 where u can warp into walls an kill mobs with no issue but the problem i beleave it is allot more detectable in eq2 because of there new system. not 100% sure.

You cannot TP into walls - well, let me rephrase that. You _CAN_ TP into walls, but there is a 99% chance that inside that wall, there is nothing to hold you up. Even if you lock the Y location, eventually the server will call it a fall through the world.

and the mob will likely come into the wall with you.

yes mobs can hit you anywhere unless you on a wall, the new climbable walls are to excape agro, you just cant attack on them

Then you'd want to be looking into how to maybe trick the server into flagging you as 'climbing' while your still able to attack.

I noticed something for a while now that I thought was just graphical in nature, but I think can still be useful. I was doing some tears grifter quests in MajDul. While pulling some grouped mobs they would start going spastic. I don't know how else to describe it....like having a seizure. What I did notice was that I was getting hit less and not as many interrupts. So I concentrated on the mob I was fighting while the spas do it's thing. Afterwards it would turn back to normal and keep fighting. Now another scenario happened where a mob I was fighting, not grouped this time (or maybe it was, can't remember) started doing the spas thing while fighting, well I tried to see what would happen, and I did not get hit as often -- I still got hit though -- as I would normally. Now since this is an instanced zone this mob was at least 1 level above and having seen what other mobs do, and usually they do hit well, so I'm thinking that there is possible flaw here, but I just don't know how to exploit it......And it hasn't been easy to reproduce either, as far as I can tell there seem to be no rhyme nor reason to it...

Yeah i've seen that happen too, i believe its nothing more than a mob standing right on the edge of a little drop and every time it moves a mere inch it'll change axis, which is why its going all over the place.
I don't think theres much to exploit there.

I have seen this too on even the low level mobs. I'm not sure the cause of it, but it looks like to me it's some kind of pathing issue. I also have noticed that if you move the mob will correct itself and continue attacking normally, but if you stand in one spot throughout the "spasm" they seem to have a problem targeting your exact location.

It's too random to exploit, and the only thing I can recommend is when you ping the luck on the spasmatic mob, use it to your advantage.

Arre with a smile :D
