Best way for windy fame? : FFXI General Discussions

I'm currently doing quests for aspir and I was wondering what's the easiest/best way of getting fame. It's been really annoying and i'd like to get it over with soon

Trade bastore sardines to the npc infront of the fishing guild. Trade, zone to Waters, rezone, trade. Very tedious, but is easy. I think also buying cornettes at Bastok and trading to NPC in (Walls?) works well too.

Coronettes from Bastok while Bastok is in conquest first or second. This is the easiest way if you dont have a cheat ^^,

With a cheat! Go download the windy fame raiser with the sardines. ^^ I love technological advancement... makes me fatter.

coronettes is what I did ^^ They are sold at the Bastok Markets music store for about 125gil each to my Bastok player with pretty low fame at the time. Bastok has to be in first place though. Strip your character of everything but a warp scroll, stock up on coronettes, run to Windy and trade them in, Warp back and repeat until as high as you need. I got to about Rank 6 on first time I did this, then I think it was 1 1/2 more times to get rank 9 ... been a while but you get the picture. I'm sure some website has an exact number of coronettes needed for rank 9 other there somewhere lol.

I did a mixture of cornets and bastore sardines. In order to do the bastore sardines I needed warp because it would take too long to zone every time. I did aspir twice and the second time I had a friend Warp II me because I didn't feel like leveling a mule up to level 17 for warp.
