The Stupid skill of fishing! : World of Warcraft General Discussions

Afternoon everyone, Anyone know where you go to gt your fishing from 225-300? i think i have been everywhere but still cant figure it out and no one on my server seems to have a clue. Is it just a book i need or do i have to talk to a trainer? Im horde side if that makes a difference. Any help or suggestions welcome! good hunting!

i think you talk to that guy in Booty Bay and give him a bunch of fish or something, its the guy that makes that awesome pole you get in that hinterlands quest. Nat Pat or something like that

no, you have to be lvl 40 with 225 fishing, no less! then you talk to lumar or lumak in org at the fishing place. Then he sends you on a quest to find nat pagle in dustwallow marsh. Then he gives you a quest to go fishing in 4 different spots. After the quest, you turn it back into nat pagle and you have artisan fishing

What's the point of fishing anyways? I never really understood why you'd want fishing besides maybe to feed your pet.

Stonescale eels ~ 1g per fish, used to make armor potions
deviate fish ~ 50s per fish, used to make an item to change your costume
firefin snappers ~ 1g per fish, used to make fire potions / tailored armor.
Pearls as mentioned above. The list of money making you can do from just fishing alone goes on longer than this!

then you have

nightfins and sunscales for mp/hp regen when cooked and there are various recipes to raise a lot of stats, of which some of them stack!

Fishings main point is for professions and food.

I may be wrong, but don't you also catch lockboxes sometimes once you get fishing up to a higher lv? Correct me if I'm wrong.

You'r right, but i never got something valuable in the boxes

But fishing Stonescale eels can get you some $$$ at AH.
I caught 80 Stonescale eels over one night with WoWGlider (you can use it as a fishing bot to, and it works great)
