2nd offense in FFXI question : FFXI General Discussions

Recently i was caught fishing afk this was my 2nd offense. My first offense was for botting argus afk this was over 1 year ago. My question is has anyone here survived a 2nd offense or am i doomed? I've been playing the game over 2 years and i'm a lv75pld. Just wondering if i have any chance at coming back because I'm very worried.Right now it is a 3 day suspension with review for termination, the gm said i've a slim chance of coming back just wondering wat u guys think my chances are for surviving this.

Ouch im sry. Its most likely very slim as the GM said unless you can prove you shouldnt be banned via a 3rd party reasoning.

very slim chance you will survive. well you will know on the 3rd day because when you try to log on it will either allow you to and you can call a GM to let you out or it will say you are banned

Im thinking if your first offense was a loooong !@#$%^&* time ago, they might let you slide on this one. Just play sympathetic if u have a chance to talk to the GM again. If all else fails, call SE (not POL). I think someone has posted that they were able to get their account back via bitchin to SE directly. I think its worth a shot if push comes to shove.

As for myself, I;m 80% certain that I will purchase another copy of FF just for cheats so my main account is untouched. Losing a hard worked on character just really bites.

While Im on the subject, when you get banned perm, everything (mules etc) on that POL ID is banned right? Just makin sure...

yes everything is lost if u are perma banned recently happened to some one i know so try not to let that happen lol

Yea, they usually only give you 1 break for using 3rd party tools, then they just ban you the next time.

As for other violations, its usually 3rd strike your out.

say i have an offence on my account but it was not because of using 3rd parties tools. instead it was for extreme foul language in shouts <.<. if i get caught using a 3rd party tool now will they just perma-ban me or give me a break since its my first offence using a 3rd party tool?

Assume they'll ban you and you'll be safe. Better that than sorry.

ive had 2 strikes before, no suspensions, mainly for acting the way i do in rl (swearing like a "sailor") 2 offenses np, guess its diff for hacks lol

I've never been banned for use of third party software yet, but I've been banned twice due to "Innapropriate Conduct." I have a feeling that the GMs don't like offering sex for gil... jk.
