NO. Shadowburn COSTS a soul shard IN ORDER to get one back IF the target dies. As it may look like you get two back, you're really only getting 1 since Shadowburn uses a soul shard in order to recieve one. Drain soul is the only spell you're using to actually GET a soul shard that never was in your pack in the first place.
If Shadowburn actually added a soul shard to your inventory, you wouldnt need a soul shard in your pack in the first place to even cast Shadowburn.
Shadowburn = costs 1 shard, then gives a shard after target dies with Shadowburn still on target.
Drain Soul = Doesnt cost a shard, gives you a shard when target dies.
Equation:
-1 + 1 + 1 = 1
(SB) (DS)
You get one shard that you never had before.

The way he explains this I don't think you get anything besides the normal soul drain shard.
