Cannot logon main on my own computer : FFXI General Discussions

As the subject says I am having some trouble.
I can logon my mule and zone just fine. I can logon my character on a friend's computer and zone just fine. But I am stuck on my own comp. I can logon to my main if I have a friend zone me back to konstach, but when I zone again I am stuck.

Any Ideas?

Moreover, I uninstalled/reinstalled all of FFXI

what do you mean by stuck? and what zones does this happen in?

just wondering -- did this happen when you were using pos and warping around after the maintenance/updates last night? After maintenancea few of my friends reported slight problems with warping. Mostly points changed and whatnot (sorry I don't use it so don't know much about it)Possible that SE did something ... yes. Likely ... probably not lol.

If you can get in game with that character, try contacting a GM in game. If you can only log on to a mule, do it there but you must do it on the account in question. Else you have to call them ... and their support reps are about a sharp as spoons.

I had my first main character fail to log in properlly a while back. I called SE and they said there was nothing they could do because they could not access the database, I had to contact a GM in game. I made another character (yes paid for another one, that later became my mule) and once I logged out of the mule I was able to log into my main again ... another option for ya ^^

If you where trying to zone into Ro'Meave the update had messed up that place. About 1/5 people from my LS couldnt go into that zone either.

It should be fixed now~ If that was the problem

I have already dealt with this subject here is what you must do.
First unplug the controller which I know you use on your comp reboot your computer without it in. Then exit the zone and do not enter it again until they fix it. You can then put your controller back inif you close down ffxi and restart but stay away from that zone and romeave as well I know that one is bugged as well for it struck me with that last night

It wasnt any of those issues.
I just not got on buy bypssing my router. I am tring to get on with the router.
As I was logging on though this time there was an update with 3 files that seem important ffxi.dll and 2 others I cant remember.
AHA! The issue was either the router needed to be reset or those 3 particular files.
