Guild Wars Worth playing? : GW Discussion

Im hearing all sorts of good stuff about this game. And want to try it out.. but is there a monthly cost to this. I dont mind buying the game.. and also if i get it what server should i play on...? Mostly looking for newest server and what class should i be?? tanx for the help

GW is free for the base game, expansions will cause a monthly cost. i believe this is correct when GW was coming out i was playing mxo and thats what i heard

What he was saying is this you buy the game no subscription ever! You buy the expansion it adds to the game or is a stand alone product agin no subscription cost ever! Hope that cleared it up.

The game also doens't really have servers like other games. When you are in the wilderness, you have your own map of the game, to avoid others stealing your kills and taking your stuff. In towns, there are districts which basically act as servers and can be changed with ease.

Don't be confused. the game is all online. the rest will be obvious when you play.

off topic but basically if u are using npcs to party with you are playing on your own copy of the map so no1 can killsteal but if your in a party that party has its own copy of the map etc
