First Post here....Samurai, whats a good subjob,armor,weap? : FFXI General Discussions

Hi, if someone could help me out with this i would deeply appericate it.... All i need to know is what to buy for my Samurai like armor and weapons as well as equipment bonuses. Also what's your opinion on a good Subjob?

You might also want to sub thf after you get tachi jinpu... Which is level 50 i think..

Gears you want would be anything that boost:
(In order of priority)
1. Accuracy
2. Attack
3. Str

Look up on job forums in Alla and KI for more Info...

I know this might be old, but you NEED ACC, @50 you should have Jijistu Gi, 2x Sniper Rings and Life Belt for a total of +34 Acc, could even use the HQ2 version of the Lv.25 Gloves for +37 Acc, but O.Kotes will benefit you more. You should also be using Sole Sushi, which is Acc+15% STR+5 and DEX+5, very good, but really expensive. You COULD have a STR setup for every ws, but @50 it's not that much of a concept.

Here's what I had @Lv.50 as my gear... <.<

Main Hand: Koryukagemitsu
Off Hand: Nothing
Ranged: Lightning Bow+1
Ammo: Any Ammo
Head: Valkyrie's Mask
Neck: Spike Necklace
Earring 1 / 2: Beetle Earring+1
Ring 1 /2: Sniper's Ring
Hands: O. Kotes
Body: Jujistu Gi
Back: Nomad's Mantle
Waist: Life Belt
Legs: Shinimusha Haidate
Feet: Federation Kyahan

STR+4
DEX+2
ATK+38
ACC+37

All @50, that's the best setup you could have.

60+ with /thf, invest in a lot of STR gear to swap out for WS. Tachi: Yukikaze, Gekko, and Kasha have 75% STR moidfiers, far more then any other WS's. You'll notice a big difference in numbers if you macro in loads of STR gear for them. Since Sneak Attack makes your Ws 100% accurate, you don't need to worry about acc+ gear in WS's.

WEP - Great Katana or Polearm wen ur GK is capped
Armour - er..... wateva u can find?
Stats - well at low lvls wen u start i find that Sams have really low ACC so i used 2 balance rings n some other dex gear wateva i could fin ya know
then u hit like 30 i kept my dex n had hume RSE, Bounding boots, Empress Hairpin, Spike Necklace
pretty much my THF equip um im not a HL sam so i dnt really no much over 40 but id assume ACC + STR would be ur friend

Subjob - War to start with at 60 u could go THF or RNG, cuz SAM have A- Rng ATK i think it is n RNG for RNG ACC then u could Sidewinder n stuff with meditate its all good

these r just my thoughts dnt make me cry with ur "ur stupid u dnt kno nutting" =) lol
