mining/logging/or harvesting bot without warping to point? : FFXI General Discussions

hello is it possible to make a mining/logging or harvesting bot which can go to each point (go not warp, i dont want to risk something on a map? over and over again always the same points?... it would be great i know some guys and they make a million per day, but they dont wanne tell me how...
i hope somebody can help me... thank you guys

I'm working on one. It's not simple to do, so it'll take me a while (3 weeks more....?), but I will get a release out eventually.


I think there's a single point AC Tool object HELMer here somewhere, but that isn't really very effective.

Atti is working on XiHELM right now which will be like the MrFish of harvesting, excavation, logging, and mining.

This program would be great, but the problem is the big money is over at Mount Zhayolm and Halvung. The mobs there aggroes even lvl 75s. Sure, maybe a script would be made where it records your route and when you cast sneak/invis on yourself, but the duration on sneak/invis is completely random. So, this throws afk mining out the window.

Don't get me wrong this would be an awesome program, but I can only see this working in areas where mobs don't aggro lvl 75s like Gusgen or Yughott Grotto. Of course, the other alternative is POS mining. Then again, I've seen accounts banned left and right due to this.

Above poster is right, Mount aggro's Lv.75, don't see that happening there.

Chatlog reading is perfectly doable. I can also read out positions of nearby mobs from PCMAP to see if it's safe to cast Sneak/Invis. The only problem is it involves a LOT of code.

anyway thats the problem with the sneak invi... but if he get a bot for the lower lvl area it will be cool too...

What you have to consider before requesting a feature is the complexity. The script would have to calculate whether there are any aggressive monsters within aggro range of the current position. This isn't *too* hard to do, but what's really tricky is making it so the bot will move to a safe spot. Finding one is very complex, although I have just (literally) had an idea for a way to do it using a 2D boolean array, representing the floor, with True and False representing whether the square is dangerous. Then all that would be need is calculating the angle of sight aggro (ie if you are 60degrees off center, are you within the aggro cone?, etc).

i have some 75 jobs but i still get aggro in the new areas... >< but it would be very tricky to find a way how to dont get aggro in this area, i think if somebody decide to make a bot like this , than he have to be very intelligent hehe ( sorry for my bad english, but i am a german girl)....

anyway a bot for the lower lvl area would be great too... i dont need the biggest money.... cause i am never alone there anyway...

Yeah over 2k accts were banned 7/21 for "Third-party moving programs"

You could record your route in XU - Bot make a macro for:
/item "Pickaxe" <t>
and have it target npcs in the route you found
once it finds "Mining Point" then
have it do /follow on the Mining Point and then use the Pickaxe Macro.

If you use your Imagination and a little bit of time and effort you can have yourself a Legal afkmining bot(or shall i say "Macro" at your service.
