Little helpful money making tip (engineering 85) : World of Warcraft General Discussions

I was just wanting to share some info to help out engineers. Now we dont have many things that can make lots of money but there is a little trick I have used to get my engineering to 250 without noticing a huge amount of gold missing.

At engineering(85) you get access to the Target dummy. Now the target dummy only requires 1 Copper Modulator, 2 Copper Bolts, 1 Bronze Bar, and 1 Wool. So with making your own Copper Modulator the only mats you need are-

5 Copper Bars, 1 Bronze Bar, 2 Linen Cloth, 1 Wool Cloth

These mats are easily farmed on even low lvl characters. Make up a bunch of them and as you run around just drop one, even if you are in town. Wait 15 seconds for it to explode and loot it to see what it dropped. Fused Wiring is what your after. It sells for a ton on the AH and it isnt a super rare drop off these things. I normally get around 1-2 Fused wiring for every 5 that I drop.
