Death Threats.... : FFXI General Discussions

So... Back to me and 3 friends being threatened to be killed in real life. 1 called the cops, me and the other 3 didn't... The second day it happened again, and I GM'd them again... This time they were being racist, harrassing, cusing, and just being over all queer.... The GM I got (both of them) said that they would look into it. 1 of them admitted to gilbuying in /say chat... And the ENTIRE conversation was in /say chat. And yet, they still arn't banned... This is !@#$%^&* !@#$%^&*! SE sucks in delaing with things that actually NEED to be dealth with!

call SE and file an official complaint with them. complain against the GM's because any threat on a persons life is a serious thing because you never know if the person knows where you live. say you want to file a report with the police that way you can get the persons IP

Yeah, death threats are very serious, and should not be taken lightly. I dont know what SE's rules and priorities are, but they need to be changed.

Yeah most threats are just by 12 year olds that think theyre cool because they act emo when things dont go their way. You never know when youll hit a real nut job thats actually serious, and people like that do exist.

exactly why i say report them to the police and file a report to SE against any of the GM's in hopes that you get better gm's

The thing is, I can't file one. If I do, my overprotective parents would probably take away this game for life... I wouldn't want to risk that cuz this game is the only thing that takes my mind off my stomache when I get sick and need to go to the hospital... I want the people banned badly, but nothing seems to be working.... And as we speak, I just reported another !@#$%^&* head for harrassing me in my PT. And the freggin WHM didn't cure at all and I died.... I left and GM'd the harrassing bastards... And still nothing is done on anyone....

They really need to consider "Death Threats" as "Against the ruules and against the law" instead of, "There is nothing we can do about death threats. If you serious believe your life is in danger, you should call the police." or the 100% responce, "We'll look into it." But it never gets looked into because they said it plain as day and still no one is banned....

hmm thats a problem. Try talking to them, and explain the situation very throughly, maybe youll get through to them.

I'm not going to risk it... I can't... If I lose this game, no matter how nerdy it may seem, I will die. I'm not kidding. This game is the ONLY thing in the entire world that takes my mind of the pain... Without it I wouldn't make it through school or the lacrosse season... I would waste away and die... I can't afford to risk this game... But I'm a little "scared" of what could happen.... I know how to disarm people and everything... But still.... What if he comes with a sniper rifle or something and shoots me from like 10000 feet away..... I really want to file a report... But I also think its a little too late... It happened over 72 hours ago... so I think the threats are nullified by now...

File a Damn report, if SE gets a letter from a Gov agency or something like that they are going to do something about it, Also Prez Bush signed in a Law awhile back that threating/ taughting making fun of people and Not using your RL name then that illegal. I pretty sure you could get those peoples name and file a restraining order or sue them or something XD, Idk dude but thats what I know. Threating a Suit could get you somewhere. Will cost you some money though. Unless the police get the info for you.

Well... President Bush prolly doesn't even know what a damn computer is... So I'm not really sure he's any help on this subject lol... And since he can't seem to follow the laws himself, what makes me think he's going to make others follow that law? And I don't think I'm gonna file a report. If he's not banned in a week, too bad. If I see him and he harrasses me more, I report him again. I'll do it again and again and again.

All bush is is a scape goat for congress. Yes, bush does have some power, but congress makes all the major decisions. The president is only the mouth, and !@#$%^&* of America.
