IF soe want to stop people from doing this they will reset every ones expertise which would be real easy instead of checking every single player on every server i dont think so

Because if they did that they would not be able to ban the offenders. It's really easy to find out who's using the expertise exploit. Just do a DB scan for negative expertise points available.

I just recieved a tell from a csr vedan and he told me if I dont reset my expertise my account would be banned. Then he ported me and froze me in front of the respec npc in Theed.

Can anyone else confirm that CSRs are actively persuing action against expertise exploiters? I'm afraid to login to lose my abilities.

In a publish in the near future they will reset the expertise tress for thos that are exploiting and will make them respec automatically when they log into the game and they will not be able to respec back to the profession they were until they viisit the respec character and pay for it.

What a load of crapola


i did it 6 times yesterday just to see if it worked


no global message ever came on as i cahcked all message logs


just people trying to scare u and what are the devs gonna do about it

they cant teleport your char whilst your logged on and they didnt fix the double char exploit and they will not check every single char onevery single server they will only check people who have been reported or are stupid enough to use it in pvp




i checked but then again im not greedy and stupid like some people using this exploit

i only use 4 extra points

a message was broadcast on the servers and the devs can port your char while you are logged on during the protests against the cu the csrs ported folk to 0,0

Well if you are obvious about it, you are going to get caught. Most likely they have realised its out of hand and is why they sent the server message. (Which is posted on the official forums).

They are probably contacting those who have been caught using it. Either from players reporting, or invisible CSRs.

All they need to do is check the database for people in the negative points.

Custormer Service is aware of an exploit that can result in the accumulation of excessive Expertise Abilities beyond that which the game normally allows. A fix for this exploit is on the way, however, we are currently logging the Expertise system in order to track any characters that may be taking advantage of this exploit. Customer Service strongly suggests that any player that may have used this exploit should visit a Profession Counselor in Mos Eisley, Theed, or Coronet in order to reset your Expertise to normal levels.

Dev's, even GUIDES can port you. Even way back when EQ 1 was new, guides could port. In every SOE game they can port. The matrix has the white room. Saying they can't port you is like saying they can't send you a tell. Total load. Though this post may not be accurate (About being forced to respec) I absolutely can not STAND it when people underscore dev's.

Ok i wasn't going to get on my account because i knew they were looking for people.. i didn't respec whille i was on so they sent me an e-mail, I was only on for like 5 seconds tops here it is.....

Hello,

This email is to inform you that your Star Wars Galaxies account has been suspended for a period of three days due to exploiting the Expertise system to gain more Expertise for your character than the game allows.

When your suspension is up you will have three days in order to manually respect your expertise in-game or face further disciplinary actions.

Here are the steps to respec your Expertise:

1. Visit a Profession Counselor at the Starports in Mos Eisley (Tatooine), Theed (Naboo), or Coronet (Corellia).

2. Begin a conversation with the Profession Counselor and select the following conversation choices:

a. “Resetting my expertise sounds interesting, but how much will it cost me?”

b. “That sounds good, I’ll take it.”

3. Your Expertise points will then be reset.

a. NOTE: Your Expertise abilities may still appear in your Commands menu. If this happens, please use /sit and /logout to completely log your character out of the game for fifteen to twenty minutes to allow the Expertise abilities to clear.

Please be aware that accounts found in violation of this exploit after the three day grace period for correction will have additional actions taken towards the account.
