Bored.. : World of Warcraft General Discussions

so today i logged into wow only to see that my guild had cancelled the naxx raid due to lack of players and were going to do it tomoro, i of course was annoyed due to me being the top dkp warlock in the guild and was hoping for sum phat epix .

The lack of raid left my day at a loose end, and due to the fact that in my servers pvp grouping ally get there buts kicked 24-7 pvping was out of the question, this left me jumping around in ironforge like a total nooblet, untill i ventured outside ironforge to see that the place was swamped with people dualing. This of course filled me with hope of a way to kill the next few hours by kicking sum butts in duals
. After the first few duals the taste of victory had lost its sweetness, in an attept to put some much needed spice into my dualing life i typed /yell taking all comers single dual 100 gold stake. this of course lead to a hail of whispers most of which calling me dumb or a noob but a select few people took me up on this offer and the duals began.

My first dual was vs a grand marshal warrior which i won with relative simplicity, and to my amazement he actually payed me the 100g and so the dual offers came flowing in and i am pleased to say the whole gathering of people starting to join in each bartering there own terms and stakes, good fun was had by all and if i calculated correctly i won a total of about 320-350 gold, at my best i had about 500 gold in the bank, and at my worst i was down to about 250. the duals carried on well after i left and as far as i know are still going on now

i just thought id share this because i think this section of tault is a bit dead and as a way to kill time and possibly make a bit of gold with it (provided of course you gots the skillz to pay teh bills ) .

if anyone else has any tales of interest post em here could turn into a nice thread

I've never been confident enough in my PVP skills to play like that

nor was i tbh im more of a pve player but since posting this ive put alot more effort into my pvp tactics although if any warlock could post how the hell to beat shadow preists and feral druids id be most gratefull lol

Organize 5vs5 fights in STV arena winning team get 500g or something and split it between the participators

if you are bored there you dont have to play WoW, lol. You could try something like going to the park, haha.

Buy an air soft gun and shoot stuff with it

my old twink guild used to do something like this, every friday at an allocated server time everyone who wanted to participate im the " fight night" assembled and procided to fight their way through an organised compition to win either gold or an assortment of blues the guild alts had farmed.... this was great fun i loved it i think more things like this should happn

I'm a total warlock noob (have only a lvl30 lock ), but i guess respeccing could be the answer. Btw you didn't mention discipline priests. You can beat them too or you didn't meet any of them? I'm a discipline priest and my favorite opponents are locks and mages. Those classes are very easy to beat with my spec.

True dat, it's the most fun when you shoot people. I shot my friend in the knuckle with my airsoft gun and it pretty much made my day.

Heh, but that is a pretty clever idea. 100g per duel. I'd do it,however, like an above poster said, I'm not really confident enough in my PvP skills to put that much on the line. I think it's awesome that you were able to do that though

It depends on the gear too. Lets say if both duelers r lvl 60 and the warlock has like t3, or just half of it, it can definetly beat another player with t2 or t1. It also depends on the skills of the other guy too. Im a mage, and i have dueled alot. Ive seen ppl who know what to do to avoid my spells. Sum know how 2 play, sum dont . Depends on ur luck :p

Yeah im a lock and im not that confindent.I would go against a warrior though if he had just regular gear like me.
