GCW Troop Dupe : Star Wars Galaxies Nerfed Info

I heard about this, I don't know if it's nerfed or you have it already.

Get the trooper comlink from Lieutenant rank in the GCW, put it in your house or bank storage, and keep getting more, Then you can take them out and call a lot of troops.

You can't drop the Comlink in your house because its a unique item and therefore can only go in your main inventory or bank.

I put mine in the bank and spoke to the recruiter and there was no option available to buy another.

I've found that I can drop those kind of items in my house if I first place them in a pack, then drop the pack in my house.

You can't put Unique items in a pack though, that's the problem. If you try it just says something about Unique items having to be in the top level inventory or a bank. I don't know if that's a recent change but I couldn't put my comlink in any pack I had, equipped or not.

Also, I found out that you can actually buy more comlinks by storing one in your bank, logging off for 10-15 minutes then logging back on again. You will then have the option to buy another comlink.

BUT....

If you do buy another one you will find that you can no longer retrieve the one you have stored in the bank. You can drag it to your inventory but it does not go there, and you don't get any kind of error message at all. You also can't put the one you just bought (which is now in your inventory) in the bank... again no error, it just doesn't let you do it.
