The wow balance : World of Warcraft General Discussions

Ok ive been thinking and every class can own another class easy so i figure its the wow balance. But i was wondering if people could help me figure this out so i know who to pick on

Well u can start by saing ur class and maybe sum of ur equipment and if u generally like PvP

Yeah that might help a little bit and I would like to know your lvl.

well im talking more in general but im an 40 arcane/fire mage with decent gear mostly blues and +95 spell dmge to all.

Edit: Yes i live for pvp and own all in my way

these are just my opinons... but if they all had similar gear for their cast with no enchants then:

Hunter >>> Warrior
Rogue >>> Cloth wearers
Mage >>> Hunter
Warrior >>> Warlock
Shaman >>> Palladin
Palladin >>> Priest
Warlock >>> Shaman???
Priest >>> weakest link lol =D =P (depends on spec)

As i said thats just what i half think not really sure... but yea...

I think that a good fire mage can kill ALL classes(including hunter/warlock/priest, which i can beat, but with some difficulties)
Generally i start a duel by just polymorphing the guy. Just 2 make the audince laugh at him.I already have mana/health pots +the mana jewel mages can make and also have forst armor+arcane intellect+combustion(i prefer atleast combustion(5)). Then i use pyroblast. Then firebalst. then if they are melee, i use forst nova, then blink, then fireball, and if they arent in their knees yet,, fireblast again. If they are magic, after pyroblast i use counterspell(now they're silenced for 10 secs), then fireblast,fireball, and if they're not dead yet blast wave/dragon breath's(or any other good dps instant spell). This is like a general pattern, but it also depends on the other guy as well. For hunters i usually try 2 sheep their pet then use all my instant spells on him, as they have ALOT of instant ranged attack so basically who is quicker here wins. When fighting a priest/lock/warrior u NEED 2 have insignia of the horde/alliance bcz its almost sure they will fear u . I havent spent too much time on duels but they're a pretty good way 2 waste ur time

lol, i may be rerolling a lock but thats because a friend of mine wants to reroll again but heres my experience with a 60 lock:

Warlock >>> Rogue - If they CloS i normally would net them

Warlock >>> Shaman - Tough fight if hes non-noob, if hes good i generally kill his grounding totem inparticular and then DC before he can make another and practically fear-DoT-lock him

Warlock >>> Hunter - If they have BM its already GG i lose, but besides full BM specc its just Seduce pet, fear-dot-lock hunter

Warlock >>> Mage - This one you need to overwhelm him, send you pet to attack him and while your sending try casting fear (or DC to be safe), the mage will most likely polymorph me or my succy, then my succy (because shes close) can use seduce for a bit, after that its fear-dot-lock.

Warlock >-<Warrior>>> Priest - battle play out relies on specc but generally fear-dot-lock. NOTE: If its a NE up at Ab mill, I will msotly loose from cliff-uiside.

Warlock >>> Paladin - This fight can get LONG and VERY repetitive if I mess up the fear-lock, if i do, it involves a lot of the pally healing and me dotting then fear-kiting.


As an end statement, althought I just showed I can beat any class its under many cirumstances like there specc and CD's and in a BG you wont always be at 100% hp so any class is easily killable. As another end note I just wanted to say I've watched many duels were

Lol I'm lvl 67 hunter with everything in BM except for 11 points in MM to get Aimed Shot and i can tell you: Warlock is CAKE. They can't do anything when YOU are enraged. That's just like any other class: Bestial Wrath (you to go in rage), Wingclip and nuke. That's how I beat every class in 1v1 with my hunter.

I kind of said that but a BM hunter can get beaten by a rogue, and also from what ive heard hunters are mainly BM-> Pet attack-> Aimed Shot-> Auot-shot, rinse and repeat.

Lol. BM hunters are good for Duels and strictly duels. They can be decent in PvP / BGs, but not usually. I'm a 70 hunter 0/21/40 best pvp spec.

and who said mage > hunter? You've got to be kidding, Hunter > mage anyday. unless its a really bad hunter against a really good mage.

IMO, Hunter > Any melee/clothy class, which basically leaves you with caster druids and priests, paladins may be a problem seeing as that they can out mana you, then heal, but overall hunters can beat them.

so it comes down to...

Priests(Shadow mainly) > Warlocks > Hunters > Shaman > Paladin > Mage > Druid > Rogue > Warrior

This is my opinion and many may agree, but we all have our own ideas depending on our class, cause to ourselves we own. =)

It is also who is playing becuase some people can play certain classes than others and depends on the spec because certain specs open more skills. It is also a matter of luck sometimes, if a person gets a high crit or something.

my bad i generally dont go toe-to-toe 1v1 with hunters (they scare me with TBW if its up-popped ) and I can't be bothered getting a pet out again and again in battlegrounds. (hardly use succy

Not only the class and build is important. The race (racial ability) can make a big difference too in pvp.
For example: undead priest > BE priest > draenei priest > dwarf priest > troll priest > human priest > NE priest
As you can see, the most deadly priests (if all priests have same build and gear) are the horde priests, which makes WoW unbalanced.
