can show that loser whats what for rigging his guide with virus's.

Javascript can be used to hook in a download, however it's easy to see by opening the HTML in a text editor.

lol theres thousands of forms of virus, many of which are hooked into a .exe,
.zip or java. Like bptxp12 said Javascript can be used to hook a in a download.
And if your talking about the HTML version from Gnomeproblem; they had to
take it down because of legal actions.

Well thats odd if he did put a virus in it, because i've had the guide for well over a month and havent had any problems.

it is a tracker, a sort of malware; they are commonly used to steal information off your computer. And no the forum refuses to give up the IP.

I used Brian Kopp's guide exclusively (67 draenei shaman and counting, woot)

I can tell you definitively there is no virus in the original html guide, or the later (weakly) password protected PDF version.

The message states that he released a FAKE guide containing a virus to the community to get back at people who would steal his guide and not pay for it.

yes, but according to him that fake virus infected one; has been spread through all online communities; just torrent from Mininova or Demoniod and you should be fine.
