hi guys im currently bored of the pvp system in wow as its totaly repetative and it doesent really matter if you win or loose meaning both BGs and world pvp. worst case scenario i have to wait 2 mins to revive and maybe pay 1g for a repair

i was just wondering if any of you guys had stumbled across/know of a mmorpg (fantasy prefered) with good pvp system e.g when u die u drop gear or cash etc and pking is a viable proffesion, please post back with a link to the games home site if possible

thanks alot

doobrie, If you get the opportunity, check out the PVP on Lineage II
The best part is the mass PVP and Castle Sieges.

Yea lineage 2 PVP is good. Asherons Call used to be good. They make games carebear friendly so people wont complain. But there should be a risk if you are a pk to loose good gear. That is half the fun of the kill.

If your not a graphics whore then good EXCITING PvP is in a game called 'Tibia' the graphics are extremely low (looks like top end SNES graphics) But death is VERY unfriendly (loose 10% of your total XP which can result in multible level loss I.e. at level 100 you can loose 3-4 levels as well as skills you have trained knocked down a few levels.) A few servers called PvP enforced Actually give XP for killing players within a certain level limit below you to any level higher than you. Game takes a bit to get used to as with any game but like I said. If you look at a games gameplay and not its graphics then this is sure to keep your attention for a bit.

Shadowbane is cool PvP game. Graphics are not the best though. I believe it is free now also. Made by Ubisoft.

Just liek admin said, asherons call used to be the !@#$%^&* for pvp. Hardly anyone plays these days on top of starting new would be pointless as everyone is lv 275 these days anyways

tibia still gets my vote. Whats not fun about killing somebody, taking their weapon and watching them quit the game on the spot xD

I killed a level 105 earlier and he lost a few levels and cried (takes weeks to get those levels legitly)

I think Age of conan will have a really good pvp system with formations and playermade cities .

I don't think VSOH sold out. The problem was they where running out of money and they needed more help. So sony came in and helped support them but made them release the game 3 months to early. That in turn just killed the game from starting at 200k to now at around 70k people. Sony just took over the project fully hoping to redo the game so it may eventually became popular. However that is yet to be seen because they game cant run in it current state with high graphics on. Something that game flaunted around a lot.

yeah, I was in the beta for VSOH and loved it. Then Sony took over and I started having nightmares about my EQ experiences. When I heard about the release date, I about cried. The game had so much potential for PvE and PvP with player made towns sprouting up around eachother and being able to take your town to go and attack another's. I now walk by it in Best Buy and cry a little on the inside. I just hope Age of Conan doesnt end up the same

I agree 100% it was a great potential that was killed because they wanted to rush it.
